Well, since we're on the subject... I'm at Fido (part of Rogers), and it's downtown (Place Bonaventure) and we're also hiring. I've never heard of a police record verification over here. I've been there for over 4 years and the conditions are actually pretty good.

V2-1 is however right, the worst part when you start out as a CSR is dealing with really awful people over the phone (usually, when people call their phone company, it's NOT because everything is alright and they just want to say "I love you"). Anyways, the pay is good and the people are cool.

Sorry for "hijacking" your thread, but I was basically responding to Host One who was talking about the Police record thing and how far Rogers is, which doesn't apply at Fido, even though you have the same salary and benefits.

I'm not too sure about that one. I play only burnt CDs (who buys CD singles anyways?)... yet they are all filled with music that I bought online on sites such as Beatport.

All in all, bad situation. But, really, when you say "asked him politely", what do you mean exactly? Because I know Michel and he's really not the type of guy to answer "go fuck yourself", unless of course you were extremely rude to him from the get go.

The good: nice set-up for all the stages and good music overall. Of course I was only there friday night, but what I heard was nice and seeing the DJ line-ups for each stage, I'm sure the music was kicking all week-end. Also, people were fun and in a good mood.

The bad: the rain made the place kinda muddy. Also, it was a long fucking drive. :)

Cool thing about the book also is that for every part, when he is refering to certain tracks or certain events, you have a playlist of tracks that you can listen to on the book's website. So you can get an idea of what was playing back then and what he is refering to exactly in the book. I read it a few times and it's still just as good. :)

Some of you seem to blame the doctors for the problems with our healthcare and even for the waiting times, even implying that they don't work hard enough. Maybe you guys should know that the doctors that work here are probably as much a victim of the system as the patients, because they have to work with limited resources and regulations and quotas that don't make sense. Even worst, some people will unload their frustration on them after waiting for a long time even though they have nothing to do with that.

I don't think that the doctors have to take it upon themselves and work around the clock for free just so people can wait less. We just have to put more resources and try to avoid having all our newly formed doctors go work elsewhere.

Not entirely true. The charge is not coming from the provider. It's coming from the website. The providers protect themselves by saying that since the vast majority of websites that you can subscribe to will charge you for each message. However, as an example, I was subsribing to Facebook notifications by SMS for the longest time and I was never charged a single penny for them, since they offer it as a free service.

My cat once completely cut the wire off my MDRV-700s. Needless to say he flew across the room when I found him.

I guess I should add that, for general listening, these are not good headphones as they are too bassy. They had very good sound for a working DJ, but they are built as solid as rotting shit and will always break. I broke two pairs in about 6 months and then decided that I was never going to get them again since 250$ a pair for a pile of crap is 250$ more than I should have spent.

I have used the Technics DJ headphones since then and, while I'm not particularly happy with their sound either, they are built like a tank and will most likely still be in working condition after the apocalypse.

I think my next pair will be the new Allen & Heath DJ headphones however as I've heard very good comments about both their sound quality and solidity.
