Whoa. My bad. Anywho, good luck finding that book, it's a bit rare. :)
I may still have a copy lying around at home somewhere. I can also recommend these books : "This Is Not a Rave: In the Shadow of a Subculture" book : [ www.amazon.com ] . It's full of Toronto and Montreal rave oriented anecdotes. and " Rave America: New School Dancescapes " by ex-Montreal Mirror columnist Mireille Silcott : [ www.amazon.com ] for a historical timeline of growing 80s and 90s North America's rave scenes. An interesting and informative read. | |

DJ Skull, DJ Hyperative, Woody Macbride, Denard, Mike Dearborn, Mark NRG, DJ Misjah, Rob Acid, Adam X , Frankie Bones , Jimmy Crash, Juan Atkins, Panasonic ( yes with an A , before they changed their name, around 95 in a greek restaurant!?! ) and more... that was them. |

Emerging in London in 1988 and subsequently exported around the world, vast numbers of western youth have attached primary significance to raving and post-rave experiences. This collection of essays explores the socio-cultural and religious dimensions of the rave, "raving" and rave-derived phenomena. Scholars of contemporary religion, dance ethnologists, sociologists and other cultural observers unravel this core cultural practice among contemporary youth.
