You can run but you can't hide!!!

The only "hardware problem" that I have with it is the fan now being very noisy, so I ordered a new one to replace it, but all the rest is good. I'm actually pretty impressed that it's still working that well considering I brought it along for numerous liveset gigs and carried it around in my backpack all the time while I was in university. I've also heard bad stories about Acer computers... but good luck in finding a company that has no horror stories.

He has gone more technical and tracks down people who share his tracks on peer to peer networks. He locates them with their IP address. I've heard this story of Goldie flying all the way around the world to beat the shit out of a 15 year old teen who downloaded one of his tracks.

If you're going the software route to begin with, there's not much use really in buying a really good soundcard. When you're using VSTs, the sound is made "inside" the machine and has no relation with the soundcard in your computer, except for your audio output which gives you an idea of what you're doing, but in all reality, if you wanted, you could produce a whole track, all in software, with no soundcard at all! However, if you are going to record any kind of sound from outside your computer, then you absolutely need a decent sound card.

You're probably better to invest your cash at first in good monitors, because they are more likely to have an impact on the quality of the productions you will make. Also, good monitors will last you a while and are one of the only pieces of equipment that you will still be happy to have around even if you stop producing, because good speakers actually have a use aside from producing with.

Not exactly.

Usually, in the MP3 business, when you pay a song 2$ or 3$, it is usually a single that you would have bought on vinyl for about 15$. So, yes, you have no sleeve and packaging and all, but you paid about 20% the price for the same track, which I think we can all agree is a fair deal.

Full albums as digital download typically sell for about 10$. Yet again, you have no artwork and no packaging and all, but a new album bought at your average music store is probably more around 17$-18$.

Haha, reminds me of a party we threw a few years beack where we used both tennis balls cut in half that we had put under each of the actual table's legs and imitated those inflatable thingys to go under the turntables by buying a few inflatable toys for the pool at Dollarama and putting them under the turntables. Believe it or not, the tables didn't skip at all. You could see the whole set-up wobbling around, but the wobble was smooth, so no skipping. :)

Hey guys! Here's the info on my latest release:

Tasty Bytes Records manager Omni is back once again with a definitively more techno release that is sure to do a lot of damage on the dancefloor. This release is supported on the remix side by techno legend Mateo Murphy who has releases on a plethora of major labels, including Turbo, France's rising star Anton X who has releases on labels such as UMF, Recycled Loops and Booster and has been playlisted by Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox and Umek just to name a few. Also on the release are remixes by Tasty Bytes Records' own Alice and the Serial Numbers, Les Limaces and Banditos.

Clips:
1. ] Is What It Is (Mateo Murphy Remix)
3. [ ] Is What It Is (Anton X Remix)
4. [ ] Is What It Is (Les Limaces Remix)
5. [ ] Is What It Is (Banditos Remix)

It's funny to see people say comments about how they didn't like the music but then say "but hey, we saw Infected Mushroom". Who cares really? If they came on the stage and farted in the microphone, would you say "hey, they just fucking farted in the microphone, but hey, we saw Infected Mushroom"? I've hear a lot of that lately.

How about everybody just plays 128kbps rips taken off the internet of tracks made with pirated copies of their music software, then records that set in 128 again to put in on the internet, so somebody can try to rip a track off it, and put it in 128kbps, so they can play it at a party somewhere, using a pirated copy of Traktor?

Sounds like a win-win situation to me!!
