is there a way you could make it so when i get priv messages it sends me the message on my cellphone,like it already sends my a notification but i gotta log on to see itttt

I can make it so it shows the first couple of lines of the message... 160 characters max for a phone message...

I dunno, that seems like that could be a lot of messages. Maybe I'd do the first 3 160 character bits...

That's an interesting idea, but I must admit the entire message could be costly.

The reason I'm saying this is because I worked for 2 cellphone providers and last I checked, any SMS bundle you might have WON'T work for this. SMS plans are good for text messages from cellphones to cellphones. All canadian providers will charge you full price for any text message originating from the WEB (like in this case).

So in essence, an "unlimited text messaging" bundle is worthless for this.

On the flipside, if you don't mind the extra costs (and usually, web messages are more expensive than regular text messages), I think it would really be interesting.

so put it as an optional feature then,i have a blackberry so anything i get will prob be 1 or 2 messages max.

Not entirely true. The charge is not coming from the provider. It's coming from the website. The providers protect themselves by saying that since the vast majority of websites that you can subscribe to will charge you for each message. However, as an example, I was subsribing to Facebook notifications by SMS for the longest time and I was never charged a single penny for them, since they offer it as a free service.
