I almost turned it off cuz it sucked, but the payoff is after the first verse. Like, the best payoff ever.

If you post this, i'm pretty sure I will love it. Pointing that finger, harder :)

For me drum & Bass is a spectrum. You have the dumbest shit ever combined with the most experimental music ever.

I embrace the whole pile. The thicker, the better. :)

> We've heard all these basslines and bass sounds before in Dub [...snip...] jump-up dubstep is really starting to get on my nerves

You make some good points. History doesn't look to kindly on jumpstep (jumpup? i forget what the hell that stuff was called, classic tunes in context though. haha) in the d&b scene, for example. And there's probably a lot of Dub that would be worth getting back into, but they aren't posted as mixes here, or anywhere else I score tunes.

My entire music collection for the last 3 years is mix-sets. Oh, and people sending me their own tunes. So... someone post a DUB mix? And PM me with the link so I don't miss it?

Anyway, it just feels like history repeating itself. I liked drum & bass from start to finish (and continue to do so) but I don't know how long I can carry the Dubstep torch if it mutates into bagpipes.

Ok, first and foremost. I like the mix, I like the tunes, great job.

As I witness the evolution of Dubstep into the more squelchy and digital, cuz you know i've been listening to this shit since back in the day and you can't take a dad out of the sub and all that, n'a mean mate?

Scottish bagpipe music. Seriously.

Same "evolution" happened to jungle. A dub based mutation turned into what we now know as drum & bass.

This time around since the tempo is so slow, all I can think to myself is that the south of london sound is heading north to scotland; towards bagpipe soundscapes. Something is suspect with "neurofunking" the sound for me. I'm still into it, but I don't think I will follow this trend to the bitter end if it keeps going in this direction, i.e. what happened to drum & bass.

Yeah, exactly. My take, summarized (sorry, I'm incoherent, nothing new about that)

* Canada ain't so bad

* There are ways to have an independant country if you really want one. Quebec's version was interesting in the 60's. The current version is bullshit and will never happen.

* Vote what you believe. If you believe in Bloc then go for it! Not me.

Country of Moldova

[ en.wikipedia.org ]

A democratic country between Romania and the Ukraine that you never heard of until just now. For the last 8 years the voters have elected "Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova" to power, of their own free will.

Quebec can have a country, it's the model that's not popular.

Vive le texas francophone? Non.

The real problem with all of this is that banks are being rewarded for their greed and stupidity. Furthermore, they are negotiating settlements which are quite frankly, facist treason.

This discussion again, 'll let you in on the same secret. There are french people all over Canada. I'm french, I was raised in Ontario (North and South, not Ottawa) I moved to montreal when i was 22 (1997) Every job I got people were like "holy shit, you'r french is good for someone who's from southern ontario!" and then i'd do my "granpapa à chasse aux perdris, en skidoo sans mes dents" impression and all my co-workers and bosses would shit themselves laughing at the fucked up "hick" accent I could pull out of my ass.

There's a french canada out there. Sure, not the dominant population. But it's there. Now, am I proud that my ancestors sold ski-doos and drove the zamboni and never went to school but could breed huge families and cook a meat pie at christmas?

Well, no. I love my family. I'm proud of my family. But fuck la culture. Tradition weighs like a nightmare on the brain of the living.

Instinct is for lower species. One life? Sure. But, I vote stay away from drama and venereal diseases because you have something called a brain.

Not enough information... what does "not recognized mean?" does it work in one port but not the other, does it work in other computers?

Apple Icon in Upper Left -> About This Mac -> More Information will open System Profiler

Once in there, go to Hardware -> USB

Plug your usb junk in there and should give some info.

If you have the Developer tools installed (they are free, you probably have them on your install disks somewhwhere) check for /Developper/Applications/Utilities/USB Prober

You can get more (very nerdy) info from there.

Nice tune!

You need to beef up the final now. Not the best mastering suite nowadays, people use WAVES and Iztope Ozone now, but run the final through T-Racks if you have it.

Start with preset -> Suite -> Regular #1 and tweak from there. I ran the MP3 through it and it got a lot tougher.
