We see time and time again that users who post violent and threatening comments often act out these violent impulses. Is it time to start banning or reporting to police users on this site who make threats against others? I think that would likely be the smart thing to do to shield the operators from prosecution.

Well, his sampler could potentially have had a pulse trigger... he's not playing notes, he's just advancing a loop indicator. Who knows?

That 'drum machine' he's playing is being used to control a sampler, because back in those days, you needed two men to lift a Fairlight or an Emu. You can do a whole lot with this kind of gear, you know.

Sado Maso!

Anyone here ever heard of a Scopitone? It was a video jukebox very popular in France in the 1960s. Anyhow, here's a great example of French music of the era, a thrilling song about sadomasochism. Enjoy!

sushi shop is okay sometimes but it's too expensive for what you get.

Montreal needs some good cheap sushi joints... Toronto has lots, but montreal is still stuck in 1997.

Did you expect any more from him?

In other news, Stephen Harper has refused to meet with the international head of the Francophonie who will be in Canada on an official visit next week.

That's right, their diplomatic number 1 is being stood up by our diplomatic number 1.

He is also being stood up by our diplomatic number 2.

Actually, government will not be meeting him in any official capacity. Let us just say that he is not amused.

Something tells me that more youtube kids are gaming ners than commercial hiphop fans. Commercial hiphop fans hve better things to do, like avoiding their mom so they don't have to do chores.

Did you read my post? The government isn't losing ANY money. They will be making an assload more because income tax is going UP. "the base income tax rate goes up by 1%."

But there's more! The tax free income that everyone receives has been reduced by $200, and the base income tax rate goes up by 1%.

This means that if you're a student working part time who makes $10000 a year, you will need to spend $53200 on consumer goods to make back your 1% GST cut.

If that sounds bad enough, if you're a full time worker who makes $30000 a year, you will need to spend $433200 on consumer goods to make back your 1% GST cut.

This increase in taxes is expected to earn the government several billion dollars in added revenue.

Thank you, Mr. Harper, and an especially big thank you to your little lapdog, Jim Flaherty.

Mr. Flaherty's best noted career moves include:
-overseeing the introduction of superjails into Ontario
-stating that his goal as minister overseeing first nations that his goal was cultural integration
-sending cheques to parents that send their kids to private schools, often for more money than the school section of property taxes

Yes, once more, Jim, thanks for being the fucking financial superstar that you are. Good on you.
