The site is still in developement but it's a game like system for people who are into graphics stuff. I'll explain a little more later on about how it works, but for you smart people, you can go and try it out. I'm sure the first few quilts will suck but people will learn how the system works it will get better.

A help system for the site will be available soon with instructions on how everything works and a FAQ. The site is still being put together. All feedback is welcome.

What's with the "Hidden Until Surrounding Tiles Are Complete" part?

Wouldn't be easier to simply see what you've gotta work with before?

but peter that defeats the point of the "quilt" idea... not knowing what the piece previous to yours is leaves you to be more creative in a sense. Only seeing a piece of the previous tile leaves you to work with a color pallete and such other then you would have if you knew exactly what was going to be next to your piece of work.

personally i find this a rather interesting idea. most deffiently a worth while project.

1) When you checkout a tile you get to see the edges of the other tiles. This helps you continue the image. When people start a quilt they decide how many pixels you get to see.

2) When you start a quilt there are a few options you can select so there are different types of quilts you can work on. Personally I like the default options it makes things more interesting as Caro mentioned, but if you prefer otherwise the options are available and more options will be coming in the near future:

- Normally a tile is not displayed until all tiles surrounding it are complete. If you check this box all tiles will be viewable to everyone at all times.
- Normally you can't work on a tile next to one you have already created. If you check this box you will be able to do this.
- Normally you can only checkout a tile which attaches to an existing tile. If you check this, you can start anywhere as long as no one is working next to you.
- Normally anyone can submit a tile and it will be added automatically. If you check this box you will have to validate each tile.

I get it now.

I was unable to click on the tile's preview (by clicking on the author/painter) as it would link me to the quilt's main page. Everything seems to be working now. Weird.

You should not be able to see tiles in a users profile if it does not display in the quilt. It's a bug, i'm trying to figure out how to fix it...

Seems I don't get it then... I'll keep a look out and see how the first quilt turns out and I'll jump in later on.

Pick a tile from the quilt where it says "Available"... Continue the image from the borders, you draw in the white not the black (although you can in the black and it will remove it), the black is the borders... Just pick a tile from the Nebula Quilt... Continue it in your fav graphix program and uplaod it...

People have been making really bad tiles lately... Hopefully once everyone understands how it works they will get better! Tell all your friends to join if they are interested in graphic art. :) The more people the better.

I wish there was a way to preview how our tile looked in the quilt and then go back to the drawing board to perfect things. I've submitted two tiles now that don't quite line up perfectly
