the only old school DJ's i recognised that are still about were Philgood and Tiga

and you don't recognized Moby, Autechre, Aphex Twin, Richie Hawtin, and Grooverider?!

thanks for reading peeps.
now that ancestral knowledge has been pass down, imma smoke the rest of these brain cells.

good vibes

edit--- on the Juan Juanita thing. The store move next store when Club Monaco opened
and DNA records move to another clothing store on St-Laurent.

yeah okay so juan and juanita was where style exchange is now in cours mont-royal

and little sarah: you're thinking about 'juanito' their jr. store- which was short-lived and was downstairs where 'Nova' is now.

Juan Juanita was on the main floor of Club Monaco. Is where we went to buy our raves tix.
Tiga opened a DNA record store there. Then Juan Juanita opened a second store on St-Laurent. DNA moved there.

Then Juan Juanita cours Mont-Royal moved next store to a bigger space. Club Monaco opened it's 2 floor store.

Rumour has it that the owner of Juan Juanita lost everything to cocaine.

My best party was at the Musé de Civilisation in Qc. If anyone has ever been, they'll cath on to what a fucking phat venue that was. Adam X on decks.

ps creative lapse was the fucking BOMB... one of my first parties... anyone remember the party with Adam X, Frankie Bones AND Jimmy Crash?? i think it was Nebula. 94.... bizzzzzombbbbbbbb party.. bomb tunes at least

Nebula was so fun. Ghetto loft on St-Laurent. i can't remember the music but i can recall what i wore. i had club kids style platforms. I was punk out on the stairs when the cops came. good thing they didnt bust the party cuz it was so cold outside.

i still have the Nebula flyer. There is alot of photos and flyers i didnt post from '94 cuz using the scanner at the internet cafe was getting pricey.

this is a cool concept for a thread, it should be continued until we have a proper history of raves in montreal all the way up to the present, definely something worth doing.

respect.

ask this thread starter... I'm sure he would want to besides, he would be in the best position to do an article on it.

I think that discutions on the oldschool scene could help us improve the actual scene.
