a lot of tracks i really love in there, very solid tracklist. mixing is spot on too. the quality of the recording is pretty low though, but there isn't much you can do about that.

yeah it's pretty limited. but you can easily modify the drums with the basic tools given..

and for the note length.. haven't figured it out either but with the envelope generator you can get some cool stuff going.. if i ever finish a track with that thing i'll try and post it up haha

i actually like it for what it is, really fun but really useless at the same time. nice to have on the go but this will not give you phat tracks easily. (or at all)

avec Cubase

1) tu crées une track de kicks (n'importe quel kick, pas trop court). un kick par beat, kick d'une longueur de 3/8e de beat. (ajuste le à ca)

2) tu mets le sidechainer vst sur le insert de cette track la pis tu click sur THRU dans le vst pour pas quon entende le kick

3) tu crées une group track sur laquelle tu met le "compressor deesser" (dans les inserts), tu click sur le bouton "keytrack" dans le VST pis tu configures ton compresseur comme tu veux, pis tu send tes tracks a sidechainer dans la group track.

From my experience, the main issue with ripping vinyl is that there isn't any needle that will capture all the details and frequencies from a mastered vinyl to make it into a ready to play file like a mastered wave of the final render from the sequencer. Vinyls will be loud as hell and perfect for a club but a well mastered wave/mp3 will be a less toned down result than a vinyl (recorded through the needle, through a wire, then sound card...)

Also, I have some vinyls that have a terrible mastering or a really bad vinyl material quality, and you can really hear it in the sound. So yeah, digital for me as well now. But I'll keep my tech 1200s for a while! <3

It's all about getting the most accurate sound, the one of the file that comes out of the mastering engineer computer. Even the best vinyl rips I heard in my life had some crunched hi-hats, some clipping or some loss in the bass.

I record mixes straight in Cubase! then I can add some stuff to beef it up and fix some issues because my mixer isn't too pro and doesn't give a perfect sound when it comes to top-end and low-end freqs. Works well for me!

yeah, only thing is that you cannot sell your mixes even though you bought the tracks, but that's pretty obvious.

ouais c'est un bug qui chie tes links quand t'es loggé sur ton compte mais si tu te log out tu vas voir que le lien marche, pis ca marche pour tout le monde sauf toi quand t loggé.

jcrois que le pitch sur un cdj yé plus précis qu'une SL-1200 pis que c moins de trouble a installer vu quya deja des CDJs dans les partys, mais sinon jcomprends ton point, c presque pareil. ya meme des nice avantages pour traktor scratch.

des cdjs c économique et polyvalent, j'espere que c ca ton nouveau setup!

since it's a 6 hours event, i think the best compromise would be 1 hour per local, 2 hour per headliner, and noisia doing 2 sets of one hour each, one dnb, one whatever else.

if there's a confirmation on the "no dnb" i'll try and get a refund cause I really don't care about a all electro night even tho i like electro sometimes..
