DAVEoftheRAVE - 4 O'Clock In The Morning (sort of but not really live at Kandie Flip)
The vast majority of my sets in 2008 were at 4am. This was a great time slot because I got to close out the night and play music for the most hardcore ravers there. It was also difficult because it is hard to stay alert that late at night, caffeine was my best friend. At Kandie Flip (NC NYE 2008) I played a quintessential 4am set; energetic without being too harsh and provided some hands in the air breakdowns while not boring people to death. I was quite happy with it but unfortunately there were problems with the recording so I have recreated it in my bedroom. Enjoy. [ www.xphox.net ] 1. Orca - 4am 2. Nefti - The Rhythm of the Night 3. "Awesome!!! I love your sets..."
Thanks "heh, dave of the rave has been around for a lot longer though!" I don't know who came first and I don't think it really matters. They're different names and I think we can all get along, but thanks. "yeah, and supposedly they both look alikes." I've heard that but I haven't actually met him. With a DJ name like this you've got to expect others to have the same or something similar. I'm sure there is a DotR in the UK and Australia too. RaveDave is quite different, there shouldn't be much confusion. We play different genres too, he plays trance right? |
