This track has an outstanding basis. The musical elements are pretty damn tight and come together very effectively.

I'm almost hoping you'll drop the lyrics (copyright's a bitch) and record some original vocals on top. Drums could be amped up some as well. But that is just me. I always want to jack up the drum elements.

At 2:50 you've got as sick a sweet-spot as I've ever heard.

Like beatjunkie sez, remastering is key. Keep it up man. This is good.

Amen Brother by the Winstons.

NOt the basis for Hip Hop, just Jungle, and technically Happy Hardcore and Rave used it a good 5-7 years before Jungle did. The real roots are Jazz, into The Sugarhill Gang (1st successful "rap" track). Scratching started on Herbie Hancock's "Rockit" which I think features Grandmaster Flash.

Rap died with Biggie and it's body was raped by P.Diddler. Now only hip hop remains.

I got a 6 1/2 on Dr. Penfield that we've held the lease on for quite a few years, so the rent hasn't gone up to the actual value yet. We want to move out in Jan, but our lease finishes in July. Ideally we'd like to pass the lease on to another crew so they can keep it at the low price. Right now it's about $1600/mo, so it might be too much for 2 people, but we've had 4 people (2 couples) living here very comfortably. Otherwise this place will go up to over $2000/mo.

One big diff between the US and Canada is that Canadians know a thing or two about the US and care about the differences. Americans do not know, nor do they even give one-onehundredth of a shit about Canada or Canadians. It can be frustrating to present logical, founded arguments and have them retort "Shut up Canadia. You don't matter cuz you're from Canadia"
Famous Canadians that Americans believe are American: Jim Carey, Mike Myers, Eugene Levy, Michael "J" Fox, Doug Flutie, The Kids in the Hall, Peter Jennings, Barenaked Ladies, Bobby and Brett Hull, I could go on. They sure as hell know Celine Dion is from Canada.

Not bad! A really nice parable in there with the snake. But I think your friend Stephane might be plaigerising off of Deepak Chobra...
He still has a great grasp on the material and it's good to see people finally thinking like this. Religion will not give you Truth. It is a mind-control designed to keep the sheep in order. Taming Humans is tough work.
If you dive into Science to find Truth, you will get lost. Science searches for Facts. Truth is the business of Philosophy.
After getting a degree in the Sciences I stopped studying for tests and began studying for me. Now I can see I know nothing. I can see that the only Fact science has provided us with is that the material that makes up ourselves does not actually exist and we don't know what the score is. Quantum Mechanics has been saying so for 100 years. The proof of the design is in the Atomic Bomb. IT is the ultimate riddle with no answer. Life is a koan.
It took us thousands of years to get to the point of splitting the atom. And it was only then where we realized that the Buddhists were saying this all along.
So fuck the Church. Fuck organized Religions. I think I'm a Quantum Buddhist.

This kind of shit is awesome. And never underestimate how much influence you actually do have over your circumstances and environment.

You need to check out the film "What the bleep do we know", as well as the books by Deepak Chobra, Stephen Hawkins, and Brian Greene.

They talk about what you've both just said, but they put it in terms of astrophysics, space-time models, and quantum mechanical models.

The matter that you call "real" is, after all, made up of 99.9999% empty vaccuum, and the 0.0001% that is not vacuum is a fluctuating probability cloud of energy. This also applies to the matter that makes you. Yet there is no segment of You where you fundamentally exist, no anatomical part of the body where the soul or mind resides. You exist inside a body that does not really exist and nobody knows where to find you. The world around you is like a thought, no matter what you've been conditioned to believe, and all signs in the highest of science is telling us this is fact.

THe degree to which you believe you can influence your circumstances is the glass ceiling that limits the degree to which you can influence and affect your environment.

Great posts.

Do they even make that? There's only 2 types of lenses, and the concave ones won't flip image at all cuz it's like the fish-eye lens in a door. The convex ones will flip the image if you're outside the focal length, but inside the focal length it's a mag glass, like aerial raver sez.

Unless you're talking about prism glasses, but that's not really flipping things upside down, but you can see straight ahead while lying down flat.

It's actually really easy to sit at home and talk about what you would have done if you were there. When you're there, and there's the confusion of something violent happening, it's not very clear cut and dry as to what's happening. I don't think it's fair to balme people at Snowdon for not stepping in, especially when there were a total of 5 injuries. It sounds to me like there were at least a couple of heroes who tried, and failed.

As for the other bystander incidents, Montreal is notoriously uninvolved, but that's how it is in big cities. People become a part of the background that you do not engage.

Hydrogen is theoretically plausible, and has been "only 5 years away" for the last 2 decades, so I'm not holding my breath.. Mu friend Justin is a Mecahnical engineer with a specialization in chemical engineering in fossil and alternative fuels. He says it's unlikely that major advances will be made with H2, mainly because the gas is explosive (Rocket Fuel) and requires massive energy to bring the gas under the right temp and/or pressure to make it practical and safe.

One great alternative is Magnesium-plated salt-ion bridges. Drop magnesium plates into salt-water and it will generate electricity and produce milk of magnesia as a by-product (you can drink it).

A friend of mine has a company that is designing power packs of different sizes for different purposes. It isn't as efficient as H2 power could be, but it is being practically applied already and has working models.

His company is called Greenvolt and he's got info on the specifics of each power pack they produce, but it gets a little technical.

While I know this isn't the final solution to energy, this guy is jumping far in the right direction!

whoa... there pal...

i don't give two fucks about timeslots posted on rave wave...

i just wanted to hear some fuckin booty.

and do you really expect drunken b-boys that pick up flyers to know that "wet and hard" means european dance music?

cuz i obviously didn't.

anyway...

i still had a pretty good time at the party just hoolah hoopin and chatting with friends and i think the sat is one of the sickest venues in town.

but if you are one the guys involved with the event...

may i suggest that instead of trying to defend yourself by making excuses for my "moderate" dissapointment...

that maybe you can just accept the fact that you can't please everyone all the time.

take it with a grain of salt and try to look at the negatives as constuctive critisms for the future.

cuz the fact of the matter is i'm reviewing a party that me and all my friends paid to get into....

and your arguing with me for expecting a little more from the show.

what you don't really realise...

is that by not acknowleding a "review" as constuctive critism you are lowering your credibility as a promoter and making ppl wanna just say fuck it altogether.

anyway...

try not to play your music too wet...

cuz you just might get electricuted!!

THIS IS MURDOCK AGAIN NOT ATRIX

flashy simon...

your an idiot...

why should i know the time slots for an event i didn't organize?

why should anybody?

why should i know that "booty house" as advertised... really means hard euro trance?

and if i didn't let myself listen to dj's i've never heard before i'd be pretty close minded.

so ya simon....

your comments are quite foolish.

and jazz...

though often sped up and encorporated in booty sets 2 live crew is NOT booty by any stretch of the imagination....

its concidered "miami bass".

booty house is stuff like dj funk or dj godfather a little faster and housier than the miami sound.

but i think the "good booty" sound you kept refering to at the party is acctually called "ghetto tech".

i guess if you really wanted to you could mix some trance in there....

but that would get your ass kicked pretty hard in detroit!!
