Ok, so i'm wondering since there's often a lot of french vs english arguing..
just wondering, who here likes Canada as a whole, and not divided into 3 countries.. ? |

I would add to my no answer that I do not particularly like canada as a whole. Sure it sounds like a nice idea and I'm not sure that if canada would be divided that it would be better. But, with a capital B, canada is still a country, identifying itself as apart, ins ome respect, to other countries, other people. I don't belive in nationalism. I do however, believe in what some would call the "brotherhood of man". But that I will call the common humanity of the people. |

Yes you're right, what we need to do as a people is divide ourselves some more, this will infact bring us together you see.... |

Some peopl subconsciously belive that! 2 wrongs don't always make a right!
but it can get to a cetain point where it's no longer ignorance but stupidity. |

i been across twice and most people have good things to say about each other coast to coast
but alot also alot of people are clueless about what goes on in the other provinces they make assumptions. positive and negative ones that's where miscommunication and hostility can begin it's a big country but we have what it takes to bridge the gaps and especially silly issues like language always assumed that canada was about embrassing everyones culture |

I think that it's always better to unite than stay divided. Yes, we do have cultural differences in Canada, but instead of separating, we should work it out and try to put an end to racism between those cultures. |

actually canada wouldn't take over the us.. canada would simple join the "UNITED" states.. there are already 62 states and territories around the world that are part of that union.. |

I would say divided if this province could prove it can sustain itself economically which will either happen after World War 3 or when a global era of money-free peace is attained which is probably going to be in 2643 when we'll have to move to colonies because Earth's too fucking polluted.
Goes without saying that no one in this province will ever be able to provide a feasable budget with Quebec as a country in itself. Why ? Because of retarded greedy politicians who prefer to put their party's own needs ahead of the thousands of people who voted and supported them. Never ceases to amaze me that every time elections come around, some people are convinced the voted party will ACTUALLY do something fruitful with the health care system, roads and other major problems. Which they can't because they don't have any money. Why no money ? Nobody can make a budget and fucking STICK TO IT. Back to square one. I prefer having this country as a (w)hole. |

canada's just too big, like the us, like the former ussr. As a government, there's no way something so large can adequately meet the needs of even a minority of the people a fraction of the time.
And though you say: Yes you're right, what we need to do as a people is divide ourselves some more, this will infact bring us together you see.... sarcastically, i really do believe it. It's not through the media and the government trying to convince us that we're all the same ("canadian", one love) that we'll be able to get together. It's by working with people that have common interests and goals that we'll be able to make ourselves strong enough that we can relate equally with other peoples of the world. Rave Nation! |

i don't get it, you think the US is somehow divided? the only division that exists is political. the US would never seperate states.. |

Quebec wants to be its own country but still use Canadian money..
i find that funny But dividing Canada would do alot more harm I would think.. just leave things where they are. |

I don't know where you've been living the passed, oh I'd say 10 years, but the Quebec Budget is the only budget to have been balanced in all of Canada (besides Alberta which shows a surplus) since 1996. The balancing of the budget isn't the problem, it's the size of the budget. Sometimes a little debt is a good thing. |

the onyl reason it balanced is because of their creative book keeping, they still pulled a debt, they just didn't call it a debt. |

Nationalism is gay. Canadian, or amarican, or french, or chinese, or wherever. Nationalism can show how weak people are in their lifes. Collective masturbation... My unity goes to my familly, my true friends and the people around me. Not to a pathetic political affiliation, "supposed" to do things for me. |
