and just when you though it was over, there was more, and then, a bigger Bang ! and right when you were sure he was saving the best for last... another Big Dropping Bang !!!!

you didn't have to know anything about him to know he was good, you just had to close your eyes and feel the music.
Awsome...

"NEW YORK -- The group of 12 graffiti artists surrounds its target, a sculpture in Manhattan known as The Cube, and waits for the signal to begin tagging it up. It's a daunting task -- the 15-foot sculpture in Astor Place was recently coated with anti-graffiti paint.

But within seconds, The Cube is covered in LED Throwies, the latest innovation from the Graffiti Research Lab, or GRL, an open-source think tank dedicated to developing new methods and tools for street artists.

Despite its coating of Acrolon paint and extra lacquer, the metallic sculpture isn't protected from the magnetic, multicolored LEDs, which attach themselves to every surface.

The commotion soon attracts a crowd of passersby, and suddenly everyone, including kids, are throwing Throwies.

The GRL was started by graffiti writers Q-Branch and Fi5e after a brainstorm on, among other things, how to get around anti-graffiti paint.

LED Throwies, which cost only 75 cents to make and stay bright for two weeks, often bounce off their targets instead of sticking. Members of the crowd pull down the magnetic LEDs and throw them up again wherever they see fit. Some loft the Throwies onto other metallic structures nearby.
That's why they call them Throwies and not Stickies.

Another development is the Electro-Graf, a technique that lets street artists embed LEDs, motors, solar panels or other electrical objects into a wall using conductive spray paint. Electro-Graf techniques give traditional tags a vibrant shine or even moving parts."

"Everyday objects get a healthy glow thanks to Rachel Wingfield and Mathias Gmachl of Loop.pH. The pair has even turned bed linens into fine art with programmable light-emitting materials. Their designs include pillows and a duvet cover that wake sleepers gradually with a blue-green glow, and curtains that blink to life as the sun sets. Their latest effort, Weather Patterns, is a light display of floral designs whose patterns and movement are animated by changes in barometric pressure, temperature, humidity, precipitation, and wind speed. The setup is on display at Droog Design in Amsterdam until April 9, but like most of their art, it may ultimately be available to home-decor buffs. Their light-infused tablecloths and wallpapers can already be custom-ordered online [ www.loop.ph ]

I wasn't feeling up to partying that day but I came out anyway...I spent most of the night drinking shots, selling Somsay's Metrolium shirts and talking to people...
I didn't take any pictures, I guess I wasn't in the right frame of mind.........I had the birthday blues :)
Nevertheless, I enjoyed being entertained by all the music and watching everyone dance from my little corner....
Both rooms seemed to be Bumpin' hard ! .......(so was Georges tooth it seems :) )

To be fair, it's not that you have to be rich to have a good time and enjoy good quality parties, it's that no one is willing to gamble their money on kids and lose big time by getting their parties busted by cops...

So most of the big DJs, cool lighting, Phat Sound system and big parties got centralized at a Legaly established After Hours Club like Aria, Circus etc...where they've had 3 rooms of veriety in one night (hip Hop, Drum n Bass, House) etc...

It's not that the scenes are not happening, it's that they are happening in a much more organized way .
Also, it's happening Every Fucking week-end instead of once a month or 2.

And don't forget, Money is thight and everyone wants a peace of it when you're making some. specialy in a small city...
At least they're trying, ( even though sometimes sideway monkey business needs to happen to feed off those buttom feeders :) )

Update » Lunna wrote on Tue Mar 8, 2016 @ 8:18am
(I don't know what happened here but the words buttom feeders is not in my vocabulary nor would I call anyone that when back when we were younger, we were basically throwing parties for our own enjoyment and I was taking pics for free and helping out for fun so for sure there was no money to be made in this type of events nor would I know about how the legaly established places operated to speak on their behalf and use such a word....I have invested my personal money for events to help out artists but until Igloofest happened and places were established $20 for an event was all you needed to make to have fun once a month)

yeah for real....I'm sick of the assumption that all nice boobs are fake or that nice pictures are Always frankenstine looking freaks turned into nice looking people....

Get over it . it's sooo Superficial to sit there and look at an image to try and find a flaw .... sometimes they are real and sometimes they are exagerated like in magasines...
sometimes people look good in pictures, sometimes they don't..it's just a damn picture...sometimes it can even look like art !

I think everyone should wear a paper bag over their head or wear make-up like a clown or even airbrush all images until you can't recognize the Alien behind it.....That way people can start focusing more on personality then looks...

You can't judge a book by it's cover....and it's a damn good thing that you can't because there's always more to it to consider...
