It's a night of firsts. For the first time ever, 3 promotions teams are joining forces to bring you a one-of-a-kind event. The world reknown Freestylers, alongside Montreal's rising funk star Tony Ezzy, and 4 of our city's finest DJs, all under one roof. But not just any roof, May 19th will mark the grand opening of Le Showcase, a brand new venue located in the heart of downtown Montreal... 
FREESTYLERS - Matt Cantor [London, UK] Breakbeat leaders from day one, Freestylers have dominated the underground music scene. Since their debut album 'We Rock Hard' shocked the planet back in '98, to their hit-laced 'Pressure Point' LP rocked dancefloors the world over in 2001, to their chart topping breakthrough 'Raw As F**k' devastated all who dared in 2004. For the first time ever, Matt Cantor is on this night only, a Montrealer. 
TONY EZZY [LIVE] Tony Ezzy was roller-skating on the rings of Saturn when he thought it would be a dope idea to kick some funky shiznit. He came down to earth and was labotamized by Dr. Zoom. What you will hear is the results of that opperation. Montreal's rising star Tony Ezzy, has got something very special planned for you. The only word we can use describe this man's groove is Bad. The old Gravity space is being completely redesigned with a stage and it also has a liquor license now. The insane soundsystem will remain but the look is completely different. This event will actually be the launch party for the new venue as well. It's going to be a proper concert hall now. Corey |
