I want to know which softwaire to use to make an Internet website...I'm working with a mac Something simple would probably be the best since i never did one....And the site I wanna do don't have to be complicated... so.. Suggestions??? And if someone could explain me how it works to get it online ...How to pay for it...etc Thanks a lot |

 Coolness: 92205 | I used to get free hosting from this place called brinkster, it's good for people who don't knwo anything. Now you have to pay. [ www.brinkster.com ] They sell domain names/hosting/have their own ftp tranfer application i think and looks like they even have a page builder now so you can do everything there but you need a lot of bandwidth to host videos though and I know there's some companies that have unlimited bandwidth plans so you might want to look into that. I recommend buying a book on HTML and Web design. It'll get you started much quicker and more organized than random pieces of info all over the place, and those things arent expensive and are all over the place. free hosting usually sucks, but if you just need to put up simple videos it may be ok. There was a big list of many free hosts with comparisons out somewhere but I lost the URL. google it... For easy video gallery set up and maintenance you may want to use an automated gallery script that supports videos. Fot tht, host needs to support the script language (e.g,. PHP) and you will spend more time (or have to ask someone or pay them) to set it up, but then its super easy to manage. Enjoy :) |
