Junk Archivist 6955 presents his latest project: 8 Nintendo Famicoms tethered to a modded Roland TR-606 drum machine.

Using the synthesized percussive sounds found in a handful of Famicom/NES games, his project featues familiar sound effects sequenced together to form a musical junkbot of lo-fi proportions.

This is an exercise in repurposing/reusing/reinventing the old into new again. Additionally, an exercise in inefficiency and stupidity.

On my OS X machine the fonts are a little fatter because of anti-aliasing. I base my choices on that.

If the font was bigger would it improve the situation? I'm not going to budge on the colors.

Answer: Who cares – it has breakbeats, a Starwars and a Public Enemy sample, and by definition that makes it cool (according to me). It’s 1993 all over again. Kind of.
