PLUR is going the way of the Flower Power; simply stated, the drugs wore off. Soon, like the hippies, they'll be drinking overpriced, non-modified venti applecinos while wearing designer hemp clothes on the Plateau, forming cliques, driving SMARTs and paying for wine classes while fucking the kids and the middleman, who actually are trying to work for a living. The only people supporting PLUR are either junkies, newbies or extremely gentle people. I can count on my hand the number of actual "extremely gentle" people on this forum. So there ya go. I made a general statement, based on people I know. I'm not pointing fingers and see no reason why you should feel targeted. If you do, well it's your right. Personally, I can't stand people shouting "Peace, love, unity and carebears naked playing the saxamaphone" and calling me on it if I don't. Again, don't see this as an attack (you seem to want to see it that way, which boggles the mind); simply writing from experience. When an unwashed, tripped out hippy tells me I'm not PLUR enough, in a condescending tone (seriously, it's the only kind of PLURster I've ever met), I put him on my personal shit list. Pretty sure many here feel the same way. |

when i say what the fuck happend to plur, i dont mean what happend to carebears and colors and the commercial side to it.. i mean what happend to peace love unity and respect; the one and only part that matters. i dont blame you for not liking those who think youre not plur "enough" cause ive ran into other people in other scenes who dont think im "punk" or "goth" or "nazi" enough. (for the record, i DO NOT consider myself any of these things. i am simply who i am...which is no where near a nazi.) i to, put them on my shit list. its not like theres a ranking lol. |

To me, see, asking "where's the PLUR", it's like asking "why aren't you a better / more caring person?" It gets annoying. As for the genuine feeling of belonging, caring and whatnot... it's there. I've made many good friends since I started raving (albeit not a long time ago. Was more into shows than raves before that). Unfortunately, these are not the people commenting on this forum (except for a few). Hell, there are some people here I've never seen in any rave. But then again, most people here haven't met me either. Internet = serious biznisssss. |
