a decent mac will perform on par with a designated windows machine of similar specs it's really not lower quality...
in my case a windows system won't support my audio aps and hardware so i have a mac...
but i want to play comand and conquer over my network too...
so... i wanna dual boot.
and neo... i've tried running parralels before...
and it sucked balls... virtual machines are crap...
so this time i'll be trying snow leopards bootcamp 3 for a real dual boot.
i also heard you can toggle between partitions without shutting down in SL...

i had this trouble with my old p.c. too.
if you have shitty onboard card or a soundblaster installed, go into msn's prefs and set it up to use that instead of your production interface.

having not tried record i can only assume this trend transfers over???

proppellerheads record and logic studio 9 have been getting a lot of comparison reviews lately and personally i think they are kind of unjust...
what do you fuck faces think?
i plan on picking up the new logic eventually, cuz the flex tool looks dope, but it would be a little more atractive if it had a couple of new synths added in there though...
as far as record... where do they get off charging $500 bucks for a DAW that quite frankly... doesn't really do much.

mastering is an artform all of it's own...
for home productions you are way better off just sending it out to a pro if you're gunna release it.
you can spend a ton of cash buying gear like that (and i'm sure it sounds spectacular), but if you don't have a specially designed sound treated studio to put it into, you're just pissing money away.
not mention... you'll achieve better results working with a specialist to achieve the sound your looking for.
i've been working with a mastering tech for our labels past few releases.
and each time around the results are getting better and better, he's starting to understand the sound we are looking for... and at the same time time brings out dynamics that we didn't know were there. i can really see it getting to a point where we won't even want to dance floor test our new tunes without having them professionally mastered first.
live stuff is a whole other game though...

i dunno... last few time i went to circus it was not only punishment... but cruel and unusual...
