They're not banning cigarettes, they're banning smoking in bars and clubs.
Drinking alcohol doesn't affect the people around you (unless you're really annoying or you start puking on everyone)..

| but I don't understand why they insist on plastering pictures of black lungs and dead babies on packs, but not banning the sale outright.
I guesse if they did that then the natives would make a killing, and the government certainly wouldn't want the natives enterprising and making tons of money |

because it would obviously cause problems for all those addicted persons. no politician wants to commit political suicide by being the one who pushes a full on smoking ban for everyone everywhere. |
