I duno, 320mp3s and FlACs are fine IMHO... going mobile with portable HDs is way easier and lighter than trucking records, I did it for years and in some ways I miss it... and in a lot of other ways I dont....

I believe the term you are searching for is "contrails" and those are left by planes when there's enough vapor at certain levels of the atmosphere, particularly the ones the planes are flying through. The Carbon emissions left in the planes wake become trapped in water molecules if they are dense enough, causing cloud like formations. Farmers in close proximity to flight paths have been using contrails as a form of rain prediction since the 60s, in other words, the thicker the contrail, the more vapor, the more vapor, the higher the likelyhood of it raining within the following 24hours...
