Oh, I'm not complaining that he died.
I'm complaining about the suffering, the dignity loss, the way the metastasis were eating at his brain and making him demented, the bouts of lucidity that let him see what his illness did to him.
The doctors themselves said that he'd had this cancer for at least two years when they found out about it. Oh, I know he could've had another debilitating illness somewhere down the line. But personally, I figure if you don't have alzheimer by age 80, you're likely gonna die of something else before you become senile.

My dad died in 2000, at age 84 (he only survived a few months after they found out about the cancer). He would've celebrated his 91st birthday this year.
Let's just say the age difference between my parents was larger than my current age. (Hey, I could give that as an algebra problem in middle school, couldn't I ? ... >< )

False. It took them two years to figure out that my dad had lung cancer and that it had gotten into his brain. He was 84 at the time. They stuffed him full of morphine until the day he fell off a chair and they decided to do a scanner for some reason. Until that happenned, my mom had problems even finding a service wheelchair to move him around the hospital.


I _hate_ hospitals. I usually go to a clinic. You give your name, go back to work, get called, wait maybe half an hour, get checked. Sure it costs 15$, but it's much less annoying and you don't catch Clostridium Difficile or Staphylococcus Aureus. Usually.

I just realized that winter time is standard time, not summer time ! What a dummy I am...
So changing the time is actually useful, in that the sun doesn't wake us up at like 4 AM in july and that we can enjoy the warmth of the sun on our skin later on summer nights. I'm all for that.

Yep, SK is on central standard, which happens to be the same hour as mountain daylight saving, so they don't have the same time as the rest of their timezone.

We're that much closer to having time zones as messed up as Australia's !
