So.....Am I supposed to sell cheaper than ebay?

With Ebay, you have to wait a couple weeks, you pay shipping and probably duty. Not to mention the slim possiblity that something goes wrong.

Mine is 1 year old. I paid almost $500 and its in perfect condition and you can test it out before you buy.

*If you want the pair, I'd do it for $550.

That really sucks! Ufots suggestion to check local pawn shops is really one of the only things you can do at this point.

Its too late for your friend, but if you find the right plan, the insurance is not always that expensive....
My roommate and I have a plan that covers us for theft upto $20,000 for about $400/year. I split it, so Im covered for $10,000 and it only costs me about $15/month.

You need to shop around though.... alot of them place limits on certain types of items,
exe: on a 20,000 plan you can only claim 2,000 on electronics.

As far as helping out your friend, I have an old Numark mixer he could have. I was going to try to sell it for $40, but I'd be willing to part with it considering his situation. PM me if you want.

I have a 3 channel mixer to sell, but I dont know if I would describe it as "good"...
maybe "ok" would be more appropriate
Its a Numark DM3001x
I bought it 4-5 years ago for around $350. I'll sell it for $50.
It still works fine, but the cross-fader leaks a little when its all the way to one side. If your not scratching, it works fine.

This Saturday NCV's Dave O'Brien & Deliz are back for one of our favorite Regular gigs. The guys from Le Plateau
have been filling up Blizzarts every Saturday for the past several years and NCV has been a regular guests for a
little over a year now. We love playing these Saturdays cause the vibe is so great and people really come out to party. Dave and Deliz have a special Tag-Team DJ set planned to celebrate all the big things happening with NCV this year. We'll be showcasing some of our new music releases and giving away CDs, stickers and t shirts!!

No cover before 11pm, and $5 after (What a DEAL!!!)

that really sucks! We waited almost 1 full year for an extra 8 episode :( Maybe the writers strike will end, but probably not in time.

This is what Im planning on doing over the holidys.

1st I devide my records in 3 categories: Stuff I will still play out, stuff I wont but still want, and stuff to sell or pack away in a box.

Then I take the stuff I will play out and I break that into 2 categories. Stuff for Dance floors, stuff for lounges

Then I take each of those categories and break them up according to genre. Within each genre category, I order them according to preffernce. Also, I try not to make too many genre categories.

exe:
Party Tracks / Minimal / New Electro / Old Electro / Tech-House / Techno / Breaks / Chill-Ninja Tunes

I have alot of great memories, met new people and every time I went I could count on running into and sharing good times with old friends. + it made me feel cool to have a permanent spot on guestlist. Its the industry standard in Canada. Advertising buyers use it to plan online advertising strategies.

Their data seems do differ quite a bit from what you got.

Oh, I get it......every time I hit TAB it basically submits what I have written.

so last year aug 2006
Facebook had 473,000 and
Myspace had 4,351,000

this year aug 2007
Facebook has 13,841,000
Myspace has 4,615,000

I guess the difference is due to the fact that my source is for Canada and Nielsen must be International...

Encoded vinyls are the vinyls you use with Traktor scratch or Serato.

In a way I feel like these new technologies coupled with Online music retailers has leveled the playing field for alot of DJs. Local record shops use to keep or distribute most of the new vinyl to friends or big DJs before the average consumer could get to it. So not only did you have to get go to the record store, but you had to make friends with people and go on Thursday night.....And these stores would only buy what they thought would sell in the 1st place, so selection was limited by the buyers decisions. If you tried to order records it was rare that you get them, if you did it was about a month later, and if you wanted something that came out a few months ago or more, it was usually not available anymore.

I still havn't made the switch, but probably will within the next few months.
Truth is I still have mixed feelings about the whole thing.

Someone should make some tool or site that would allow people to use multiple networks. One login, one photo album, one search engine, but with access to friends on myspace, facebook, ravewave, and whatever else is around the corner.

Also, those (unique visits) stats shown above for myspace are not really representative of its popularity. Facebook has now overtaken Myspace when it comes to the number of active accounts and time spent on the site.
