a very interesting look at the iraq war from the planning stages of 2002 to the present by filmaker Charles Ferguson, how the US got there and why they can't leave.

enjoy.

let's try to keep things in perspective without being to over dramatic...

however i will agree that it's bad...according to the video by the end of next year the war will have cost over $1.5 trillion ($1.8 trillion if you count the future VA benifits for solidiers)...so none of the candidates in the race for the presidency is firmly grounded in reality when they say that america can't afford a health care overhaul (the price tag for that is estimated by experts to be between 60 an 100 billion dollars)

the biggest problems for iraq are obviously the consequences for the future of the region...the middle east has always (for the last 40+ years) been the most unstable region on earth, this hasn't helped things in the slightest. As it stands there are 4 or five crisses in the region and situation in iraq is making them all more volatile...
I'm feeling surly right now..

Very interesting, they ask the true questions. The video give the answers why the people of Iraq is again Us occupation and it was not really a question of oil but a question of jobs and security. I dont know how they gonna clean that mess but they are in deep shit.
I'm feeling festivus! right now..
