number 1 dont play for FREE, no one respects a dj who plays for free, its a sign of desperation number 2 dont accept to play for FREE and then during the night decide you want to get paid, sort the business out BEFORE you get there. No need for a contract, a written email is fine number 3 if you cant get a decent timeslot that fits YOUR schedule, then dont play the party. No one at a RAVE gives a shit if you work at 7am. I mean look at all the stress you put yourself through for nothing, when you could have just chilled at home with a good flick and some hot chocolate Just my 2 cents ;) |

Come on, of course the point of buying the gear and producing killer shit is not to play it for free and be retarded, but sometimes, you know, occasionnaly...quite often... people will not care about losing your respect and do a live act for free because of the love and because of the fact that it will spread their music around.
