This is a terrible story. I hope that the guy responsible for this get out of this situation

changed for the better. I dont know the details, but from what i'v heard, the anger management

class and the therapy sounds like a plan. I'd like to think i'd be more constructive than some

jail time that could end up making an angrier and more distrubed man out of the boy.

I dont know. I'm no behavioral scientist, law guru or philosopher really. lol

Some girls on facebook wrote that he ( the reckless driver ) mistreated the victim, like in domestic violence, while she was alive. Then he replied back with death threats to the girls on facebook. What a fucktard. Now he have more problems with the law. lol

The article doesn't quite get that right.. What they posted on facebook (and I saw myself, including some of his public threats before he shut down the facebook group) was that he was never going out with her; she was NOT HIS GIRLFRIEND, and she wasn't interested in him on anything more than a platonic level. The whole "OMG my girlfriend just died" thing was an attempt at getting people to pity him.
I'm feeling like a drama magnet right now..

The situation is tragic but this is sinking low at a whole new levels.

I would of never made a facebook group in her honour if I was the driver, especialy since from what I'm understanding he's a huge liar.

He's going to dig his own hole over this.

He already has..

I mean I can't believe how people couldn't tell right from the start how it was OBVIOUSLY wrong from the start..

If you lose someone you care about, you mourn them; you cry, you stay alone, talk to your/their family.. But the first thing he did when he lost her is what a PR department would do; damage control.

Rather than let the cops investigate and the investigation come out with the facts, he goes on the defensive RIGHT AWAY; telling everyone that he was not speeding by more than 5-10km/h, trying to pull out the "it could happen to anyone" card to make people more sympathetic to him, giving an excuse for his driving without a license that makes him come off like he was trying to be a hero (he said she had an argument with her family and was suicidaly depressed and he was going to comfort her)

From the start he was confrontational and on the defensive, which is generally (but not always) a good sign of guilt. He knew from the start that he fucked up, and tried to put a spin on it that painted him as an innocent victim, and at the same time censoring/attempting to censor everyone that had any ACTUAL connection with the girl he killed.

I may not be a psychologist or have any professional education/studying in the field, but I had a fairly fucked up family and had a lot of issues of my own growing up (one of which was showing signs of being a sociopath).. I was seeing shrinks 3 days a week from when I was 4 years old up until I was 17, and I've learned a lot of things from experience and interaction with them, as part of exercises to learn to keep myself "normal".. Part of those exercises is learning to identify triggers or behavioral patterns so that you can analyze and stop yourself from doing/thinking things that are "wrong", and he was showing so many of them in his choice of words and reactions he might as well have just confessed from day one.. Like the saying gows, we can smell our own.

Screwhead, once again I do not think that anyone was defending his point or bashing because you kept saying the guy was 100% at fault.

Just that no matter how stupid, it was still an accident (agreed, that could have been avoided. But stupid people do stupid things) and not [ rave.ca ] business to conduct a trial.

Sometimes, a little compassion goes a long way.

well.. what really got me, was when I read the facebook page.

it was painfully obvious that her close friends and family didn't like him, were *very* angry at how he was handling it, and didn't agree even remotely with his version of what happened. re: they were calling him a liar.

the "tribute" page seemed more like a forum for him to build a cover story.

several people asked him to take down the picture of them together at a party, and replace it with a more appropriate picture of her and her only. one person even offered to send a suitable replacement picture.

these people were completely ignored, and he left the original picture of the two of them up.

I found that very narcissistic and slimy, to ignore the wishes of her friends and relatives. says a lot about him.

but what got me the most, was this *horrible* poem he wrote on the facebook page

I don't remember it all and don't have to either... the one line that really pissed me off was

"it was not my fault, it was her time."

what the fuck?? that is wrong on so many levels. I have lost an awful lot of friends, relatives and associates in really tragic car accidents. way too many. I don't know, but in our town back home that happened a lot.

and never - ever - have I heard anyone claim of a victim "it was their time". to hear the driver say that about his own friend who was a passenger in the car *he* lost control of... is just sickening.
it is *never* a 17 year old's time to go.

anyway. seeing him claim that what happened to her was just "her fate" made my skin crawl. I can honestly say I've never heard that before. not even in a movie

and speaking of movies... he claimed she was his girlfriend, and then made up a Hollywood ending about her last words to him - giving him a very sad farewell... her friends on facebook immediately attacked him, and said that never happened. well.. he just deleted those posts and stuck to his story.

and the fact that he also posted on here, making allegations of her being abused by her family.. which of course they must have read... just shameful.

when I read that facebook page, I lost all sympathy for him, and indeed viewed him as manipulative, dishonest, and completely shameless.

reprehensible.

shortly after the accident, he messaged me and asked me to play his party. normally I would have jumped at the chance to lift his spirits and help out. but after seeing what he was up to on that facebook page, I just wrote back - no.

I might get attacked on here myself for posting all of this, and I accept that.

if you call someone out, you can expect people to call you out, too. I hope I am not too far out of line... but I just wasn't sure people even knew about the level of deceit.

I don't see this as a case of innocent misguided youth at all.

as I said, I have had many close friends that age - and younger - pass away, or get maimed in car accidents. and *never* did I see any of the survivors weave a self-serving fabrication such as this.

Again, despite the fact that the whole ordeal started with the blame game regarding the accident, what we ended up criticizing the most was his attitude though.

Wow, I think that the fact you could identify these traits so easily is well.. amazing. >>'

I read some old posts from Dj wood/whatever he calls himself. x_x'
And he pretty much just lashed at anyone who tried to disagree with him or put him at fault. [especialy you..] His cover story was crap, I saw on google what the car had looked like, you definatly dont get that kind of damage from 30-40km of spinning on black ice.. I don't know who he was trying to fool. And I agree with you, he did a poor job of someone mourning. He definately did do damage control first. And if he wanted to actually get away with it, he would of done something as simple as changign the picture of his facebok group, every group about her has a picture of her, no one else, just her. Maybe if he died in the car crash too, and someone put that picture up of them, sure. But no, he's not dead. There's definatly soemthing wrong when the girl's best friends and family know he's lied.

People shouldn't feel sorry for him, they should feel sympathy for the girl's family, her friends, and for her. They should feel sorry for Angie, because she trusted a guy who acts like he's invincible. [from what I read from his posts he acts like a tuff guy but lies and manipulates people to a disgusting level. He acts so shameless and reckless..]

You seriously have to be the most selfish, self-centered, heartless bastard to lie and then say "It's not my fault, it was her time" like what the fuck?! Who writes that about someone who dies in an ACCIDENT! caused by THE GUY WHO WROTE THAT.

Like wtf. That just pissed me off.
I'm going to feen on animal crackers until I'm in a good mood again. >>'
