quand mon chum a dit qu'il avait loué ça

j'ai roulé des yeux big time haha

The Crazies

Very entertaining, not cliche to zombies at all. Seriously.
Extra features talking about the making the The Crazies and how they didn't want to relate to zombies at all was VERY cool. Using known viruses and soars was wicked.

My only gripe was that they used a satellite visual similar to that of Resident Evil: Apocalypse and The Hills Have Eyes, only twice though so not bad!
I'm feeling black magik peace right now..

Enter the Void

seriously I don't know if anything was cut, I have seen it when I was young but didnt remembered it well the time I watch it on dvd...

yeah I have heard they were doing a third one, hope they stick to the original idea and not venture into stupid shit like they do with so many new movies...

cuz i feel a lot of movies have been cut down compared to their vhs brothers in the 80s-90s. plus on top i know wallmart has a tendency to censor everything and get their own masted in-house version thats been drone out. i was wondering if your copies managed to not get that treatment like i know so many of their music cds get.

cheers !
and same about them not fucking it up, i swear if i see one more epic getting whollywooded im getting a one way ticket and head there to be a producer. set things right in this bitch ;D

Lars Von Trier's "Antichrist"

Graphic, violent, and Charlotte Gainsbourg is naked almost from beginning to end :p ... but if you get pass that (cause honestly I love sex and gore as much as the next girl, but that was waaaayyyy over the top) it's beautiful and full of images that seems taken straight from paintings.

Pas pour les coeurs sensibles finalement, mais à voir :)

I just watched The Tripper..

It was a pretty funny movie, I guess..
It's about these hippies going to an outdoor music festival and getting high and shit. Then this guy comes and starts killing all the hippies and blablabla..

It's not like a great movie, but for all those guys out there that hate hippies or whatever, you guys would enjoy watching them get murdered, I'm sure. :P
I'm feeling purple!! <3 right now..

Hobo with a Shotgun.

Jesus fucking Christ on a boomstick! To properly sum up how amazing this thing was, without spoilers, I'll have to explain where I come from. I'm a fan of bad movies. You know, there's A-movies (blockbusters), B-movies and cult movies (lesser known actors but still terribly good) and then there are the z-movies.

A z-movie fan is someone used to poor quality, poor acting, poor plots and poor special effects. as long as the overall product ends up making you feel good, the movie is considered good.

Grindhouse and exploitation movies, well, they're in between B and Z. Most end up closer to the trash pile but ultimately it all depends on this... I'll call it vibe. It has to make you laugh without TRYING to be too funny. It has to shock you. The effects must be bad but coherent. Same goes with the plot: it can go absolutely nowhere but has to be entertaining.

We have to thank Rodriguez and Tarantino for having shown a newer generation that loving bad movies is okay. You don't have to watch Michael Bay crap to be entertained. In the same vein, you don't need to only focus on IFC or Sundance indie flicks. They've shown that sometimes, you CAN simply demand to be entertained without snobiness or billion-dollar special effects.

The main problem with these two directors is that, sadly, they didn't get it quite right. Planet Terror was too over-the-top and campy; Death Proof was almost perfect... if it hadn't been so damn boring. Machete was better in all aspects; still over-the-top (Rodriguez' trademark at this point) but less Blockbuster-ish, in a sense. It felt closer to home.

Now, Hobo with a Shotgun. could anyone have guessed that the guys responsible for Treevenge would end up GETTING EVERYTHING RIGHT? You watch the movie and you feel like you're in the late 70s and that Hobo was filmed SERIOUSLY. At the same time, it most certainly isn't; I haven't seen so much gratuitous nudity and gore since Poultrygeist but it ALL MADE SENSE. A lot of it can be attributed to Rutger Hauer, a veteran of Grindhouse movies. His acting is... well, you'll never see a more convinving hobo with a grudge (and a 12-gauge). You can feel his mounting frustration (and I can't believe I'm actually commenting on how well a hobo can transmit acted emotions).

Saying more would be revealing too much. I'll just state that of everything "Grindhouse" having come after the Kung Pow - Death Proof / Planet Terror grindhouse renewal, this is by far my favourite movie.

Black Dynamite would have to be a close second.
I'm feeling cromulent right now..
