ROCK ON, GEN!!!
I used to be a little punk skater when I was 14, too. This was when I was into Gutter Mouth, Lagwagon, Strung Out, No Use For A Name, Bad Religion, etc.
My friends and I used to go to the Unemployment Center in Pointe-Clair and wax up the curbs and skate like little Vandals (oh, them too!!)
Four years after that, I was mother fucking hip-hopper, then four years after that a candy kid, and now, four years later... I dunno. I guess i'm just an adult. *sigh*
Maybe in 4-years, i'll have a life again. Hahahah! *sigh*

Have you ever watched the "Lost on the scene" (behind the scenes) of "Lost in Translation"?

There's this part where Bill Murray say some Japanese phrase from a book called: Making out in Japanese.

If I knew it off by heart, I would say it, and I would sound, like, totally fucking cool (like a ninja or an assasin... or even like Robert Di Nero)... but I don't remember it. So i'll say it in English.
"Are you talking to me!?"

that's a really cute comedy...i like very much the main character..i just don't like the ending...look too much love movie...
but some of the scene are hilarious and the music is good! representative of the 90' UK scene..
i like the scene of the joint at the party...and the d&b scene in the store with the dancing customers!

24 hour party people(2002) and velvet goldmine(1998 )...

the soundtrack of this last one is crazy good...
hommage at lou reed, david bowie(his phobia of being kill on stage...the death of ziggy star dust, the birth of the thin white duke...),iggy pop and cie...and litle of kurt cobain for the mcgregor character!and also big hommage at oscar wilde...
this movie is a fucking chef-d'oeuvre 10/10

and it's full of good [ actor...ca ] of leader of placebo...some song are from tom yorke(radiohead)but under the name venus in furs...
jonathan rhys meyer(star wars...) ewan mcgregor...

SYNOPSIS :

1971: Glamrock explodes all over the world and challanges the seriousness within the flowerpower generation by means of glitter and brutal music. Brian Slade, a young rockstar, inspires numerous teenage boys and girls to paint their nails and explore their own sexuality. In the end Slade destroys himself. Unable to escape the role he created for himself, he plots his own murder. When his fans discovers that the murder is a fake, his star falls and he is forgotten about. 1984: Arthur, a journalist working for a New York newspaper, gets assigned the story about the fake murder of Brian Slade. When Arthur was young and grew up in Manchester, he was more than a fan of Slade. Reluctantly he accepts the assignment and starts to investigate what happened his old glamrock hero.

FUN STUFF ABOUT THE MOVIE :

--This film was based very loosely on the relationship between David Bowie (turned into "Brian Slade" ) and Iggy Pop (turned into "Curt Wild" ). Iggy said he didn't have a problem with the movie being made; Bowie protested, leading to many name changes and no actual Bowie songs being used. Much central to the film is fictionalized, including the "Slade"-"Wild" love affair (Iggy Pop was never bisexual and never slept with Bowie) and their falling-out (Bowie and Iggy remained friends after Bowie produced the Stooges album and would work together again) and the mythical, mysterious decade-long disappearance of "Slade", although he reincarnated himself as Tommy Stone, a blonde with a white suit (the thin white duke) (Bowie wasn't as huge of a star as Slade is depicted here and never withdrew for so long from the public-eye as did the film's character).

---'Jonathan Rhys-Meyers' and Ewan McGregor sang their own songs in the movie. (Some of Rhys-Meyers's songs were overdubbed by Radiohead lead singer Thom Yorke.)

---The film was originally titled "Glitter Kids." In development, the original screenplay was titled "Glam!"

---Much of the dialog comes from Oscar Wilde's writings.

OUF!!! hope you gonna pick this one soon if is not already made!!!
