well, it's not the best program...overall it's very basic, I prefer complexity.

though, sometimes complexity hinders the creative process...

whatever floats your boat.

Are you serious??? Do you allow avid smoking near your gear? Dont smoke near your monitors...bad news bud.

Anyways, I smoke outside now cause I got 2 brand new Behringer Monitors that cost 700 dollars each...so even though im a huge pothead, I make the effort to leave the studio when smoking...too much expensive gear that can be comprimissed...you know?

Smoke fucks up gear hardcore. Studio monitors ussually don't have grills so the woofers and tweeters are exposed to air.
Mixers can get dust all inside the faders and that can cause noise. Smoke makes your computer yellow and shit.

Don't smoke anything near your gear, unless you don't care about it or your sound quality.

Gear that's been exposed to smoke has a lesser resale value. Could knock hundreds off the value of some shit.

What's a good product to clean out your gear, scott? I heard that compressed air will just spread the dust and make shit worse for your gear...

Compressed air is good if you aim it right, you have to angle it so it blows the dust out. Like if you angle it between keys on a midi controllers at like 45 degrees all the dust will shoot out, works well. Don't use it on a screen though.

For speakers, supposidly a dusting feather is the best (you dont want to blast your woofer with air).

Moist rag is good for some surfaces, keep it away from any sensitive parts.

Never use chemical cleaners. Check what the manuals for the gear say.

Using a lint free cloth while cleaning is also a good idea.

if my CDj's are covered by a sweater when I smoke, is it still bad? like it protects them from dust real well
