i think you're selectively reading/posting snippets of info.

From the Globe and Mail:

""It will not be sponsoring a referendum on that matter, the matter of how those kinds of services are delivered are within the provincial jurisdiction."

Mr. Harper was responding to questions on abortion a day after his party's health critic, Rob Merrifield, suggested a proposal that women seeking the procedure seek independent, third-party counselling.

Mr. Harper suggested Mr. Merrifield went slightly "off message" on the party platform by suggesting that women get counselling before abortions

"A leader of a party can go off message, I suppose any member of a party can. We know it's a sensitive issue...and I urge people caution in an election campaign about what they want to communicate to the public in terms of party position," he said, in what appeared to be a warning to his health critic."

Harper doesn't wanna bring up the topic because he's against abortion...and he knows that'll screw him in the polls....anti-abortion, anti-pot, anti-gay marriage.....sounds like Conservatives don't like anything to do with personal choice.

And on the pot topic, i wouldn't bitch at all....i'd rather see cash spent on pot go to funding gov't programs than to large dealers.

When i read/listen to the Green Party, i have to put on my "hippie-speak" filter so i don't let all the heart-tugging, save-the-world stuff cloud my vision. In the end, i feel as though they will actually fix the problems as opposed to patching the symtoms.

When i read/listen to the Conservative party, i put on my "business-speak" filter so i can filter out the postive choice words, ambiguous hints and artful dodges. In the end, i really worry about how people will be treated and what global games we'll take part in.

From what I've read/heard... Conservatives and Liberals are aiming for privitisation. And from what I've listened to from selling medical benifits, that is the last thing I want.

If Liberals were actually liberal, I would consider voting for them. Although, considering that Paul Marting was the finance minister at the time that of the sponership- scandle, I don't think I can trust him, or his party.
As for building up military. I think thats a big waste of money.
The only party that seems to have potential (for a greater good) is the green party and NDP.

I think people should just vote for the green party.. they have idea's that will help the country as a whole, not throw away more money. we need a party that thinks about pollution levels and the environment.

None of the other parties care about that stuff.. they insted peach on how there gonna help schools and health plans.. like every other year.. and nothing gets done..

so for all you dumbasses voting for beer or any other imaginary party, why not try and make a difference in society and participate, to eventually try and change things a little..
get off your lazy asses and vote...

I believe it's just logicial for a person who has an average income (or less) to vote for a left wing party.

Even if our economy gets stronger, with the Liberal or Conservative in power, the average taxpayer will not be richer. Only the rich benefits from neo-liberalism.

And about the debat des chefs, Layton looked and sounded like a bad a car seller, Harper seemed constipated but he will own in the english debate, Martin kept using his catch lines (la sante, c'est notre prioriter...*big smile*), and Duceppe was invincible.

Us invading Canada!?
What are you talking about? Sure there are tall tales telling that "one day the US is going to invade us for our Fresh water" or whatever. But in all honesty, what will a couple extra billion-dollars do to aid us against a country that spends $300-billion more than N.Korea?
Nothing!!
So in the time being.. I'd like money spent else where.
