North American Ragga Jungle Project

The past year has seen a great resurgence in the popularity of “ragga jungle”, or reggae influenced drum and bass. In an attempt to foster and expand this community of artists and producers that have brought about this renaissance the, “North American Ragga Jungle Project” was conceived. This project is the most ambitious undertaking ever attempted within the North American jungle/drum and bass scene and consists of two interconnected components.


The first stage of the endeavour consists of a seventeen track internationally distributed CD. Internationally recognized artist Capital J will have the privilege of mixing the current record, which will features all previously unreleased material from a variety of North American based record labels and artists. This release will be the first CD in an annual series of the “North American Ragga Jungle Project”. The second component to the project is an extensive tour and merchandising effort that will compliment each CD release. By keeping the tour affordable to smaller markets we hope to establish brand name recognition continent wide.

This friday, Selecta's Corey K and myself will go back in time to recreate the history of DnB. Starting with the early 90's harcore around 11pm to then do a logical time progression as the night goes on. Classics after Classics, u'll be surely please and u might even learn something. Junglist rookies, make sure not to miss this one!

It was lots of fun. Yeah, a normal friday at the dawg but as usual a Crazy friday at the dawg. I have been taging with Corey k every friday for a little while now and everytime its off the hook! I think this week will be the last one actually since my formal partner Krinjah should return from NYC. Will end this with the REWIND NIGHT. Check out the event section for more details.

I had a Blast. Me and Y were pretty excited about this party. I didnt really know what to expect from the crowd but it was so good. U guys feeded me good energie. I could of keep playing for another couple hours. To bad about the technical problems, but it always happens at party so I get use to struggle behind the decks. There was a couple special things I planned on playing and didnt get to. Did u like the little custom intro with the robot voices we made?
