Because there is no discrimination : stupidity knows no hair color, skin tone, age, body mass, beauty or nationality.

Look at Britney Spears. She's a gorgeous blonde girl with big breasts and an awesome bod but she's so retarded I wouldn't fuck her. I could not spend 5 minutes in her company without feeling the need to cry at how simple conversations totally eludes her. Tying her shoes probably eludes her.

I am physically and psychologically incompatible with people that say stuff like " well, I personally believe that, like,U.S. americans are unable to do so because, uhm, people out there in our nation don't have maps and our education like such as South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as and I believe that they should...erm...our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future for our children " no matter what they look like.

Exactly. But games are another matter entirely. With a very good 5.1 system, you can pinpoint EXACTLY "where", inside the virtual world, things are happening. Provided of course that this virtual world is flat-ish, coz the up/down component is completely absent.

Come to think of it, I think I'll fire counter-strike instead of taking a nap... XD

Theoretically any 7.1 sound card could, instead of having "sides" channels, use them as "top/bottom" channels.

5.1 is plenty for 2D. 7.1 will work for 3D if coders get around to making it happen.

Not much to it either, since most sound processing is done in 3D anyway.

You assume that this is being implemented FOR public safety.

I surmise it is being implemented IN ORDER TO increase youth violence. Create a problem, then offer a solution. That's how you run a government.

Why are people looking for collective solutions to the problems? Because the problems are collective and the collective trains people into thinking collectively.

Yet, life belongs only to the individual and only the individual can make his own life worthwhile.

But the collectively-conditioned mind will object: "How dare you being individualistic? Individualism is what causes the problems in the first place". And that's wrong. Anti-Social behavior is what causes the problems. Individualism and anti-social-ism are completely different. The individual acts as such for himself. The anti-social acts against others in hopes of turning things to his advantage. The anti-social is polarized whereas the individualistic is self-contained.

Don't worry misty, I am the change I seek in the world. I am not powerless.

But things won't change the way people expect them to.

People expect collective change. Government change, organized change.

I feel that the kind of change we will see will be highly individual, that some persons will attain complete empowerment over everything that touches them. Call it evolution. A new kind of human. Not one who depends on the group to organize things so that they are "balanced" but one who MAKES things right. For himself.

Everyone potentially has this ability. It's just a shame that most shun it, prefering to fit into a collective that does nothing for them but offer imaginary, utterly psychological, security.

That whole system is dependant on oil, or cheap and fast transportation. Without oil the trucks and the boats stand still and peoples start producing localy again. High gas prises are already getting producers to think local.
Things can change. Things will undoubtedly change.

You seem to discount that the powers that be are those responsible for the high gas prices. They want MORE centralized resources and power. Not less.

Things will only change after mankind's gong has been rung loud enough that eardrums will still be ringing 100 years later.

All that is needed is a better redistribution of the wealth and a little less corruption. And that doest mean taxing the middle class to oblivion, but maybe impose a salary cap on all human beings. Capitalism is just fine, as long as the money doesnt all end up in the same bank account.

Its all a question of balance

The main problem is that as soon as you concentrate resources (money & power) then the low-life vultures start gravitating around that "honeypot". Then it all becomes games as to how you can sell others to the idea that you can manage said honeypot better than the next guy and it's yours. Not to keep, unless corruption is WAY out of control but at least to spread around to your friends, who will be forever thankful. So next season when it's your buddy with the honeypot, you get your share and so on. This is essentially the curriculum for the M.Sc. Economics.

Who pays? The sheeple. I mean people.

Then they go in the streets and "protest". Yippee...

No one cares: the vultures still find a way to the honeypot.

The only way to avoid all this shit, is avoiding concentration of resources, or government on a tiny scale, in a semi-rural environment. So:

1. Dismantle cities and move populations into somewhat evenly-distributed hamlets with farming land around it, making them each at least semi-autonomous.
2. Then actually pass on the majority of government powers down to these tiny "governments"
3. Then the people can see what's done with their money and so on.

This also requires:
a) no more central bank
b) no more national debt
c) gold and silver as the only currencies
d) avoid getting killed before you finish writing the speech telling people it will be this way. Which would require havintg the POWER to make it happen in the first place, which also requires that somehow Special Interest Groups (lobbies) somehow disappear.

Depends if Jesus walked around town bothering people with this.

Jesus : What about you, good sir, have you let God in your heart ?
Fisherman : What ? What the fuck ?

J : I am here to show you how great God's love is for everyone.
F : What about Allah ? I'm a muslim, bug off. How the fuck did you get here ?

J : But God can offer you so much more ! My disciples seem to think so.
F : Does your God offer you 18 virgins when you die of an heroic act ? Thought so. Tell me how...

J : No but he is kind to each and everyone, unconditionally.
F : Him and every other deity, you moron. Will you answer me on how the fuck did you managed to...

J : He is all-knowing ! See His ways ! See what good can come of His love !
F : Dude, you're fucking creepy. Fuck, can't you see I'm trying to fish here ? Unlike you, I don't walk around town all day with 12 grown men doing these " miracles " you speak off and talking to people about some obscure " other " God, I got a family to feed and I gotta work.

J : We all do, we have to work towards a better future...

* fisherman wacks Jesus on the head with his fishing rod *

F : Fuck dude, are you deaf ? I gotta work here. And you still haven't answered me on how the fuck you managed to end up on my boat ? What, can you walk on wat....wait. You AREN'T in my boat but standing NEXT to it ? WHAT THE FUUUUUUCK !!!

J : please wait, it's not like that !
F : Wow, I've heard about your aggressive marketing techniques but this is just fucking ridiculous !!! TRY ANOTHER BOAT, RETARD !

J : * walks away on water *.......I must be doing something wrong somewhere...

Seriously funny stuff!!!! :D

That was directed at strangedahlia not you.

The conceptual universe is all the mind activity which can potentially be based on concepts.

What is a concept? It's a made up thing which SYMBOLIZES an ASPECT of an OBSERVATION of something REAL. It has really very little to do with REALITY as it is. You live in REALITY but your mind lives in CONCEPTS and the two LOOK like they coincide, but in fact they coincide just about 2%. The other 98% is rationalized by crap like "you can't always get what you want", "just my luck", "random happenstance" and so on. In fact, anyone who says such things is only hiding from themselves their own incompetence. Of course, everyone's incompetent until you remove all concepts from your mind.

Then you can create a life perfectly as you wish it to be. Why? Because your mind, instead of dealing with 98% fiction and 2% reality, deals with 100% reality.

That's all.

Masa: I cannot teach for what I am pointing to cannot be learnt. Instead, it can be seen when everything else is unlearnt.

I have not stated that you are generally too stupid, unless as a response from someone, such as "look, a man on a high horse" which tries to belittle what I write without even honestly trying to find out if it might be of any real value.

"Think outside the box" is such a contextual miniaturization of what I say that it has nothing in common with what I'm saying. I'm saying more like "destroy the terms of your thoughts, all the way down to your belief in solid matter and beyond".

I have never stated that I was superior to anyone. All I'm saying is that I stumbled on something fantastic and it needs sharing.

Exactly. Counter-culture is still 100% within the conceptual universe.

Actually believing that I mean that speaks volume of not getting what I am writing. But that's OK coz it's normal to use intellect when trying to "get" what someone says. No blame.
