Delta 9 is gonna be coming to Toronto early July, should be interesting to hear what he plays. Lenny will be coming to Montreal in September, so lets all prepare our livers for that!

Yay, Fishead said I was right :-) I'm always blathering about Bloody Fist because when I was in Oz I ended up spending half my vacation 20 minutes from Newcastle in Swansea and talked to one of the guys associated with the label. One of their tracks was in the North American commercial for Manhunt and he was pretty pleased that I had seen it like 7 or 8 times, especially when I told him I didn't watch TV very much. When I got back home to Canada I did a bit of looking in, fell in, and now I'm eating up as much of the uberfuckcore as I can.

Yeah I heard about this like 9 months ago. The funny thing was, the whole story was total bullshit till the media picked it up and only then did people start fooling around with it. Talk about the news making the news.

I'm a big yellow bracelet fan!!

Prog killed the rave scene. It's been statistically proven. God knows it almost caused me to run from the scene screaming like my head was on fire and my nuts were exploding and my ass was gushing blood and my ears were full of needles.

Okay, you have to get over this wierd assumption that everyone is directly attacking you and your opinion. The discussion has now moved past that and into the realm of general bias against ravers and the attitudes of straight-edgers and drug-users.

It is nice to know that you're not one of those people who judges others. I definately think that all the attitude and judging definately hurts the scene. But I don't subscribe to the whole "It was better in '95 attitude". It was just brand new and shinier.

So I just saw the Funtopia 7 flyer. What the hell is it with them only having ugly fucking bitches on their flyers? I know Mrs Frolic is always on them, and that accounts for one nasty bitch, but I'm counting 7 nasty nasty girls on that flyer.

Maybe there's a Hulla curse and everyone who goes to these events turns into nasty bitches with fat arms and saggy boobs.

I'm all for ugly and fat people getting a fair shake at life and living without harrassment, but keep them off of rave flyers for god's sake.

/end rant.

Hey all. Just a quick update - the date for the first event has been set for July 31st. The first event will be a one room event, and we've made the decision to focus specifically on harder-edged trance and hardcore music for this one. I also wanted techno, but when you work with partners you get overruled sometimes ;) The genres will open up a bit further as time goes on, and when we have 2 rooms I'm sure I'll be getting back to many of you. As well, I'll pass on the demos I really enjoyed to all the promoters in Ottawa.

Thanks everyone for the interest!

I think it's an overanalysis. At a party with the music blaring and everyone pleasantly buzzed, it's really easy for everyone to get along. But take these same people and put them on the same message board 9-5 every day and you have 23 year olds arguing with 16 year olds about foreign policy, drug usage, the validity of one genre over all others. All of a sudden, everyone realizes that everyone else is a fucking asshole. It's hard to feel the PLUR when you know half the people at any given party because of bullshit off the internet.

"read some adbusters and stop reading ghey propaganda websites with people and their wack conspiracy theories."

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Adbusters is the 'gheyest' of all propaghanda, it's nothing but one big pile of one-sided bullshit.

And I'm really worried if you really think Bush is gonna go down without a fight. He's already stolen one election, and that was before he was in office with the power to change a ton of laws and policies that would make it easier for him to win.

As far as this Berg thing is concerned, does it really matter who did it? I think we both can agree that both sides have already commited worse things than cutting some idiot's head off. And over things a lot less important than swaying public opinion.

I was in Toronto at the Scott Brown party and I gotta say I was fucking scared at the number of insanely high people. That party had more vomit than any party I've ever been to.

If Montreal has more drug users / harder drug users, y'all can hold your shit better than TO, that's for sure

I'm going up to Toronto this week to give Scott Brown the new Slammer Virus record, so I'll be listening to most of the mixes in the car during that trip. Out of the mixes i've already heard I've enjoyed Toltech's, Mightvision's and Banging Mark's.

And basically I'm always open for demos. If people don't get in on the first one, there's always more coming.
