Why ditch the word Rave because of some bullshit orwellian doublespeak reasons? You didn't see people giving up on the term 'Rock n Roll' when it was associated with drugs sex and evil, and it's much lamer than 'Rave'

...that may or may not be massive 600 meg porn files. Or rather, 400 meg sample packs from Zero-G

And don't say Bitorrent, I'm tired of having the dig around a million torrent chatboards looking for shit that's seeded.

Right now the best I've got is E-Donkey, but it takes like a week to get any file. Better than nothing, but if there's something better...?

For sure it was good meeting you too, and Scotty P and Clown and Toltech and Corey K and a few others too :)

I had a fun time! It was a good first party as a resident montrealer, although I'm pissed that a) I forgot my booze at home b) Tipsy didn't come.

Happy though that a) me and Ian geeked out talking specs of cdjs b) Kafwin gave me some sweet sweet sweet beeeeer c) we got to play zelda in the chillroom.

As well, I took some pictures with a girl named Caroline's camera, so now I need to track her down. She was working the door until around 2am, said she was the sister of a promoter and was from Edmonton. She still around???

Thanks for da party, good times!

Don't think it's just the promoters of events that have become greedy bastards. Everyone is trying to get as large a peice of the pie as possible - djs, sound companies, venues. And partiers are trying everything just to get out of supporting events and getting on the guestlist.

Simple rule our Ravewave Jesus Christ used to have as his sig: Love your scene and it will grow. Disrespect it and it will go.

Not to be a shameless plugger, but there's gonna be insane decoration at our next party. I'm sick of the empty room with a bunch of djs kind of events. I've been doing a lot of reading into the roots of the scene and how things were and how they used to do crazy but simple things like hang 1000s of paper fish from the ceiling and use big blue liquid lights to simulate an ocean on the ceiling. Just awesome.
