Renegade stages shouldn't be allowed setting up
...whoever set up the stage next to the hardsound stage deserves to be murdered

Jungle MCs need to STFU and I'm never attending a jungle set again.

The rest was OK. Camping setup was bad even though I had a good location. Orbit1 was amazing, Sc@r was awesome and it was nice seeing Milo, Virus and others again.

*BUMP*

So with only two weeks left to go until Here We Go Again we thought we'd let you guys in on a bit of info about the venue.

Here We Go Again is being held in a hockey arena! The main room is going to be MASSIVE. This is the first arena rave in Ottawa in many years (don't ask me how many, it was before my time...probably a DECADE ago).

And just a reminder that this is the last week for partiers to pick up 25$ tickets, so if you want to get them before they go to 30$ act fast. They are available at Psychonaut!

There should be a "you need to be this tall to enter" rule for promoters. 95% of promoters I've met have been the opposite of business-minded, which always yields terrible results.

too much light is bad, but a properly set up lighting rig doesn't give "too much" light

it just puts some movement, and gets some colour going on in the haze (and who can resist lasers?!)

Host_One...

While I agree that having computer speakers and no turntables at a rave is unnaceptable, if you said you'd play for free you have to follow through with your commitment. Either way, playing for free is stupid - it hurts all of us and allows sketchy promoters to keep doing sketchy things.

As for the Terra 3... The hardcore room was terrible because of the complete lack of sound and horrible smell. Apart from that the party was fun BUT the complete lack of lighting really killed it for me.

800 people in a SICK venue with WICKED sound (in the main rooms), ruined by a complete lack of lighting. I dunno, a minimal amount of lights for the stages would've cost 200-400$ to rent and made a HUGE difference.

Maybe it's cause I'm from Ottawa and I'm used to having sick lighting rigs at parties but I don't see the appeal of being in a dark room.

Hmm...

I'm crying on my pillow?
Since when?

If the best dirt you can find about me is the fact I got banned from a nightlife website for proposing an alternative when event listings were taken away, that says alot.

Like I said before, I find it hilarious that you're picking on Ottawa's rave scene, when it's actually doing quite well. There's an all night rave happening Friday, and Synergy Canada and my company (1upped) have a very large-scale event planned for the end of July. Something that Montrealers would get wet about.

You keep saying I got banned from "my own nightlife site". I got banned from Graham J's nightlife site, the same day I posted that I was going to launch my own nightlife site, which would replace XVI for rave related event listings and discussion.

OMG WHAT A LOSARR, HE GOTZ BANN'D
