no, i think whats tired, is DJs who believe every track MUST be beatmatched and mixed in that way.

every track my start and end with a flat beat, and be mixed like that, otherwise it's not the be used.

one reason i think too many vinyl DJs are massively lazy, every track tehy get is perfectly DJ friendly for them..

it was brought up in another thread that i played the mortal kombat track once for fun in a mix, it's a 3 min track with no flat beat.. very difficult to mix..

i couldn't care less about any of DJ and what they use.

though i can say one thing, good thing we have moderators like you saying such great things, especially given the very abusive language i've been using in this thread.

best part, you lost the argument hands down.

first person to start name calling in an argument, loses.

my own battle?
i was fighting with myself?

now who's dilusional? if i was fighting with myself why are you replying? and why are you so mad at me?

oh right, cause i'm harming your precious techno/house section.

having you represent any style of music is a disgrace, you do not deserve to moderate any section on this board. You aren't even mature in your music taste. putting down other people's choice of music shows this perfectly.

actually... hate to burst bubbles - but I believe I started the name-calling with the 'poncey piece of shit' comment. Which, I might add, I stand behind 100%.

I'll also agree that resorting to name-calling in an argument is generally a sign of weakness. In this case, however, I think it's a reaction to abject ignorance... in any case I use the term 'argument' instead of 'discussion' because, in my mind, a discussion is when people communicate ideas with the idea of learning from one another... and an argument is when all involved are doing their best not to learn anything.

...and I'm certainly doing my best not to absorb any of your ridiculous generalisations and misconceptions.

btw - never speak in absolutes.

ps - I'm aware of the inherent contradiction in that last statement.
