This thread is no different from any other thread. The question was indeed bias but not obscene or insulting. Plus, holding a right wing blog is totally ok in a free country, there's nothing wrong with that, if that's what you believe in, and you are not hurting anyone.
If I had a blog that I was proud of and someone linked it or tried starting a discussion about it, I'd be happy and glad to explain my views. Cus that's the point of having a blog, isnt it?

basdini I'll assume you were bothered, the title wasn't meant as a personal attack ; I used you you as a poster-boy for right-wings on this site (although I don't know any other) ; my apologies.

I told you guys he isn't a witch, and only now you stop the witch burning after lighting the stack of hay and wood?

Oh I don't mind about people slandering other people on the forums, but at least they should be correct in their assessment. They should be exploring all angles of an issue, and try to understand why and how people feel a certain way about their view. (not just politics but in general overall)

So instead of learning about the libertarian view about healthcare, and see whether it's feasible, at least in the context of a Western world.... Peeps burned him 'cause he doesn't have the same altruistic level as they do.

Be fair at least.

Witch burning, slander? Is that what they are calling scrutiny nowadays?

His name is on the thread title.... that's calling him out.
There are better, more tactful ways to scrutinized.

I don't play rpg, whether it's pen and paper or digital format. I just know of it because I have some books, mostly beastiaries. I read the descriptions and like to draw the monsters, especially those from the Lovecraft Mythos.

Its seems like social democracies are where peoples prefer living.

"The happiest people in the developed world get loads of social services without having to work too hard. Having abundant natural resources, a thriving services sector and a fairly homogeneous population helps as well. The OECD study no doubt would have had different results had it included politically unstable countries in the Middle East or large emerging economies where political unrest threatens to bubble over such as China.

24/7 Wall St. also looked at one critical factor that the OECD study overlooked — economic stability. Our measure of this was total national debt as a percent of GDP. The figure helps determine a country’s ability to maintain present tax levels and social services. Odds are that countries with high debt-to-GDP ratios are more likely to need austerity policies to reign-in their government spending. Otherwise, their debt costs will soar.

Nations with long-term economic strength can also afford to support employment, education, and make health care widely available. Happiness viewed in this way means that people are more likely to feel better about themselves in Norway, which has almost no debt and great social services, than in Greece, which must slash entitlement spending or risk defaulting on its debt."

Hey, you want Libertarianism? Join the bikers, that's pretty much how they live ( as opposed to total anarchy where there would be no leadership).
Ah yes, a libertarian society, where everyone does as they please. The junkies, schizos and general bad asses run free to plunder the efforts of anyone who bothers building stuff. Where you can run a business on slave labor without worrying about pesky regulations. Where the elderly who didn't bother having children (or properly educating them) have to fend for themselves once they've been booted off their jobs after being replaced by younger and faster workers. They didn't save up for retirement of course, they were busy partying all their awesome libertarian lives! And you better entertain good relations with your extended families and make lots of friends for when you break your back (from an awesome extreme weekend of bungee jumping and lose your job since you can't walk anymore) because you'll need them to wipe your ass because you can't afford the fancy healthcare your employer used to provide you with. Hey why bother working when you can just ensure your survival with criminal activities, always looking over your shoulder! After an amazing weekend of fucking every drunk chick you come across, every friend's girlfriend, mother and grandmother (because that's the best part of libertarianism) you get AIDS. Once the unregulated pharmaceutical corporations who have total monopoly over any means of pain relief for your new wretched life have drained your finances, you turn to heroin and you soon rid the Libertarian Survival of the Fittest world of another weak link by overdosing. In a Libertarian world EVERYONE can be Mad Max and drive wicked custom cars over babies and old people and if their families go after you, all you need to do is gather up your posse and blow them up! Burn everything! weeeee!

look at china though...300 million people brought out of soul crushing poverty over the course of the last 30 years,

not because of socialism but because of capitalism,

it's arguably the greatest success story in history.

thank you i thought so as well...

but seriously when are leftists going to own up to the fact that their thing is a failure???

eastern europe, the soviet union, china, north korea, vietnam...do i have to go on...

@ data boy if social democracy is capitalism and socialism living in harmony, why does capitalism need to subordinate itself to socialism and NOT the other way around...

this is a senseless debate, whatever one side will tell the other will have a rebuttal and no opinion will change.

ahhhh but you don't get to do that, if it had succeeded, like if the soviet union still existed and a higher living standard, life expectancy and larger economy than the Usa and western europe...well, then every socialist and leftist would be patting himself on the back...

china still calls it's self socialist, i have pictures i can show you where it says stuff like 'building a socialist future.' and 'prosperity through socialism'

they still believe they are socialist...

i find it very hallow for someone on the left to say things like "well those just don't count as socialist countries" when presented with them...

think about it concerning china...the awful part of the 20th C only ended for them when they finally stopped sticking to doctrinaire socialism...remember they used to punish farmer in the 1960s-70s for producing too much for being too successful... brilliant! Like i said the last 30 years in China they have pulled 300 million people out of poverty because of capitalism, that is, people are finally able to own and buy and sell in the ways they want and in fact need to live and prosper, it's not a bubble like databoy says, he doesn't know what he is talking about... you can see that it's real and has very little to do with speculation, they have increased their capital stock, things like bridges, high ways, rail lines, ports, factories, RD facilities, power generation, these are real physical improvements that can't be taken away...
I'm feeling surly right now..
