I don't see anything that you might say about right-wing that might not be done by its counterpart if the *same* effort is applied.
Update » DynV wrote on Mon May 30, 2011 @ 4:29am
It's useless to get into the details of it, both approaches would be different, and the effort would be spent at different levels.

i just feel like collectivism is evil, that's all

i think forced participation in things like healthcare is wrong, if you don't want service you shouldn't have to pay for it in taxes, it should be voluntary...

i think drugs should be legal, let people do what they want.

i think we should stay out of foreign interventions even for so called good causes like democracy and human rights.

I think torture is wrong under all circumstances dito for secret rendition and targeted assasination.

the bailouts of the new york banks was wrong in 08.

so that's a look at what i believe...
I'm feeling surly right now..

^that's Libertarianism, not right wing. lol. Dynv you missed your target.

"Are libertarians conservative or liberal?"

Libertarian positions on the issues are not "left" or "right" or a combination of the two. Libertarians believe that, on every issue, you have the right to decide for yourself what's best for you and to act on that belief so long as you respect the right of other people to do the same and deal with them peacefully and honestly.

I'm not going to quote the rest, too long. Front page on link.

for example:

Basdini says:
i think we should stay out of foreign interventions even for so called good causes like democracy and human rights.

Libertarianism issue on the military:
Raising a military for national defense is a valid function of federal government, but that military must be manned with volunteers and only used as a defensive measure. Invasive, aggressive military encounters as well as nation-building campaigns are unjust.
Update » Trey wrote on Mon May 30, 2011 @ 4:07pm
EDIT: on the issue of bailouts...his opinion is similar to basic libertarianism

"Any government regulation beyond enforcing property rights and contract law is illegitimate and dangerous. Such policies either unfairly benefit one company over another or stifle the innovations that drive progress. Such unintended consequences are often worse than the problems they are drafted to correct. "

my view on healthcare is we should have a two player system.

We already have a defacto two player system.. People go to the USA and pay for treatment if they want it faster. We might has well have private practices here as well. It would actually lessen the strain on the public system since people who could afford to pay for private care will just do that.

no, because you made your choice, it's the same with doing heroin, you took your chances, you knew the risk of becoming an addict and destroying your life when you started this, don't come crying to me when it happens looking for a handout...

people sometimes say that this is a cruel or selfish attitude to have, i don't think so

like clarence thomas once said

'the dirty little secret about freedom is that if you want it, you re really on your own"

you got to live by the choices you make in life, sometimes i wish i had studied and worked harder younger, maybe i would be richer today but that's the choice i made, I made the choice to stay up late on a tuesday night drinking wine with pretty girls instead of getting a good rest for an exam...

anyway do people really think that socialism and the left can fix anything?
look around the world, everybody wants to participate in the global economy of buying selling, they don't want hand outs like 'fair trade' they want live and prosper under their own strength...
I'm feeling surly right now..

I'm not talking about the economy or heroin addiction here. Keep you thoughts in the same place please.

Phrase it the way you wish, keep on lying to yourself, ride on your highest horses and quote whoever you want, here's a fact: the day you'll get an almost terminal disease that will cost you your live savings and your "economic future" you'll still have that "social healthcare isn't that stupid after all" after taste in your mind. And as a tax payer and a human being, I understand that illness is part of life and I'm glad I can help my fellow citizen to get better and still have a chance of living a normal/decent life. It just make me sick to know that people will look at their neighbors getting sick. Not being phased at all and say something cold and desensitized like "uh well, he should have got better insurances." It's just not me.

I'm out.

They are the same kind of people that will let a house burn down sitting in a firetruck on the lookout that the fire might spread to houses that paid the fire department rather than do the right thing then collect the missed fees and add a fine (even a substantial one, better loose a 1/4 of a house in fine than ending up with no house) but nooo liberty and all that. I think liberty end at stupidity level, then community should provide that the vast majority be better, safer, more productive, ...

And liberty from what anyway? From an empire? They ARE the empire! What is it exactly they want liberty from? From the right to impose slave-wage? From having more means of production than others?

Judging by his original post I'd say yeah

You wouldnt take offense to someone you don't know posting link to a site and calling it your secret blog?

Without even opening your thread at first glance it looks like a bad attempt to start a flame war, which is why I am questioning your motivation
