why don't you ask the kid i bet she'd never have it, i bet that child has more will power and resiliance than any of us i watched a show on euthanasia with people who had spinal cord injurys some of these people could move any of their limbs, some couldn't move their legs they all had tremendous pity on themselvs i doubt this girl will ever pity herself her parents look like they will always support her and help her through hard times, they encourage her and make sure she knows shes loved, but also make sure she knows she's different and let her know that because of it, life will be harder i feel worse for the parents, because they will have to watch their daughter struggle through some very hard times, but there is nothing they can do but love her |

She is not only much worse than his condition but KNOWS NOTHING ELSE... sure with appropriate care and nourishing she could become something, but how fair is it to her to send her on this ROAD OF SUFFERING yes i repeat SUFFERING?
It's not really all that fair to send her into a world of suffering. But there is more than just suffering in the world. There's love and happiness and she could experience it. She has her face disfigured; She's not dead. And even though she will probably, if not most likely, be called names, teased and generally live an unfortunate life that does not mean that she cannot be happy. Plus, just because people can be cruel and selfish and yet can change... doesn't mean we should punish the girl for it by killing her as if we would be doing her a favor. |

Family love is great and ultimately needed, but people do want to love and be loved by other people than their family (obviously excluding idiots from Manitoba). I am sorry but society is extremely superficial, look at any magazine, any ad, any movie star... beauty is worshipped amongst people these days and don't pull this... well she'll never understand what physical beauty is because she will never see it...that's bs. When she realizes no guy will want to touch her because of her deformity that will crush her. I am merely speaking of societal views here… I am not speaking of my opinion. I hope to God she makes it, becomes more intelligent, artistic, philosophical than any of us could ever be, but in her current situation… she already has a heavy burden to carry. |
