most of Mike moores "solutions" arent real awnsers. they are jokes, his sarcasim in the book. you can really tell when he talks about women, and black people. its really funny his book
you have to be open minded. i loved the book, but some things i didnt agree with, and others i felt the same. Mike moore's movies are like that too for me. |

i think this movie, along with the others he makes, serves two purposes.
When he preaches to the choir (those of us who agree that Bush and gang are fucked up) we get a kick out of it, it's entertaining. The main point is though, there's a lot of americans/canadians who are on the fence and this gives them something to think about...and then there's those who think Bush is great due to information provided by other sources. They may take a moment to reconsider their stance. So it's entertaining and informative. ps -Cherie has a great bum AND is smart! -Basdini always suprises me with his wisdom and he might have a great bum but he'll need to supply pics. -Katie, "Haven't you heard what big sluts me, my hand and the warm place between my legs are?"....that was gold. =) |

wow, it's rated 'R' in the US.. someone doesn't want people to see this movie..
Michael Moore and his distributors lost their appeal today to lower the R rating for Fahrenheit 9/11, his scathing assault on President George W Bush's actions before and after the September 11 attacks. The R rating prohibits those 17 and younger from seeing Fahrenheit 9/11 without an adult. Lions Gate Films and IFC Films, the movie's distributors, said an appeals board for the Motion Picture Association of America rejected their request to reduce the rating to PG-13. Moore urged younger teenagers to go see the film anyway. "I encourage all teenagers to come see my movie, by any means necessary. If you need me to sneak you in, let me know," he said. Fahrenheit 9/11, which won the top honour at last month's Cannes Film Festival, depicts the White House as asleep at the wheel before the September 11 attacks. Moore accuses Bush of fanning fears of future terrorism to win public support for the Iraq war. The movie was rated R for "violent and disturbing images and for language". |

I hope they keep it R in the states. It essential that they do. Michael Moore should be happy if it is kept R because the gov't just made that movie into forbidden fruit, and th kids...they LOVE the forbidden fruit.
An R rating isn't good for making money, but the way DVD sales go, they don't have to do good at the box office. And if you just want to get your messafe out....Perfecto! Should get all the little yanky kiddies thinking...or at least the ones we need to start thinking. |
