The 175$ was for you first "rendez-vous" at that place ?

Because id it's the case, you probably pay ~100$ for the "papers" for new customer and 75$ for the cleaning and checkup

They usualy charge around 80$ for check-up and cleaning...
I'm feeling to be determined right now..

I think the place I goto is super expensive... I will try to find cheaper places. It was not my first time there, but I never paid for it myself, my family did. Now I have to take care of my teeth myself haha.

Ask your dentist price 1st, in case you need to open another "account" with another dentist, the new one may charge you fee to open the "account"... most of time ~100$

dental insurance is a must, even with insurance it's still gonna cost you,

you really don't have a choice, you can't not go to a dentist, you have to go at least once a year any longer than that and you are gonna have problems,

god damn coca cola, you'll be the death of me.
I'm feeling surly right now..

the way i see it, dentists makes a fortune playing with people's bone and nerves,

they are the worse , you'd think by now they would innovate and changes ways , yet the stagnation

of their system prevent canadian association to move towards better AND a better system such like in

europe they have finnaly banned amalgams and here you speak of this with any dentists and they will

look at you like your a street preacher yelling " the end is night " before proceeding into some

drastically expensive bill . and dont expect them to be easy after a repair thats about 5 y old.

they will have no problem into billing you usin a 1000 $ basenumerals even if your in pain in hardly

can affort a bus ticket.

Dental insurance don't cover all the fees, most of them cover only half of the "checkup" and don't cover cleaning... Dental insurance is a mess, Dentist should charge less and don't take any insurances payments...

And many people can't get any "healt insurance" from they job... What a stupid thing

I get 300$ per visit, and up to 1000$ a year for serious dental work IE root canals, replacements, crowns, caps, whitening, surgery etc. But I pay 30$ a month for that kind of insurance. I get free meds too and 30,000$ life.

im a self employed mofo , anybody not using their job insurance is either a retard , or their boss is from having cheap ones.

christ last tooth cost me 125$ per surface , and they call it how they want really , if they wanna sasy your rottin tooths need quad resurfacing ill be +500$ and im not even talking about root canal or that even more expensive root canal followup ( forgot then name peridon something..)

anyways , imo they should be tossed in the same med care as we have , segrementing them from it just keep em not changing squat about their mesures or how they cure treat etc.. plus i had worse enjuries that never cost me squat , and i tell ya you wont go far with a broken arm & arm nerves yet the dentist cost more ... . they are our country money sink holes imo.

I get school health plan so I only pay 30% but I still check the price and it's nothing like that, also I went to 3 places up to now and I don't think I ever paid for inscription (new customer papers). I found an awesome place but something happened and I can't go there anymore.

isnt pulling theets the only thing free ?

also one additionnal note , since dynv talk about universities. i heard once we could go to schools and get treatment there, i call and all and shure its not expensive , but the downfall is :

- they give you the appointment , you just get to say ill be there
- they dont fix tooths that other dentist did (they claimed it wouldnt be good for students and would pickup bad habbit work from working on defective works)
- they are close during summertime , and obviously no chance for emergency stuff..

but you can always call universities for getting the work done by students that arent money lootings ronin in white collars yet.

you can say this , but the amout they charge is way too much and make way too much than the overhead they have to assure first.

you fill a schedule for a month and imo you payed the x ray machine in that single standing.

do the math of how many paying loosers can be looted in a week , and how much they bill and how much staff they are and its payed and making money in a year

students are the way to go untill they turn gremlins

i would use myself as an analogical example , i have always bought tools , now i can repair , my lab is payed for , i did with my own shedding blood . why would i get anal with my customers for the simple fact that this has to be payed rite away. life is about ownin money. they should get on with the program like all of us , so far they are doing the opposite

customers shouldnt be victims - better " sens de la repartition " hive mind wise

By the way, any of you, if you got insurance or not, you can go to any "university" that offer dentist course.

I did myself for removing 2 of my wisdom tooth (dents de sagesse) at UM.

Cost me around half of any other dentist and the service was about the same quality.

They'r students but many of them have already the diploma but thrying to be better before doing the real job and some will try to qualify to be surgeon dentist so they need more practice.
