Well it will be good for when the movie does come out. More people will know about it for sure. Anyways I rather Antonino support this scene in the movie then other people's scenes which are tumbling... I'm pretty sure no one looks bad in the movie. I don't think that is what the movie is supposed to aim for. I agree to a certain degree. Many people dont want to appear in the movie. Even if they look like James Dean in it. Those Bal En Blanc folks did a great service to those people by having enough balls to stand up for this. Mainly because the people not wanting their face in that movie were initially ignored. The global message this was sending to everybody is : << who gives a flying fuck if you dont want to appear in the movie, you wont do anything to stop me anyway >>. And to the question << why are you doing this anyway << . I could go through [ rave.ca ] post archive to quote the following out of destructiva's mouth : << because i can >>. Mweh. It's all a big pile of CACA. lol. |

I really dont mean to offend anyone, but from the clips I've seen, a lot of people are looking completely cabbaged and while they might be ok with it now, I'm not convinced they will want video evidence of their debaucherous life 5-10 years from now. Looking ravaged at a party is not quite the same as in a movie. You never know what you'll be doing with your life later... Just sayin'. |

| Coolness: 2604025 | Also it's good to show a movie you want to make to an audience so that they can give USER INPUT. What Playground Productions have decided to do is not allow people to give input or even see something that they don't even know what is in it because in trailer 1 of POLA - The Music (not the movie) there is a clip from one of their events. Just cause it's in a home made video trailer, does not mean the stuff is going into the real thing. Any why don't the people from Playground come SEE THE MOVIE for themselves before making decisions like this. It's a private screening for the members of the site or for friends of Antonino... I don't see a problem with this but obviously people who have polls up their ass do. |

 Coolness: 88680 | If it passes at the cinemathèque, like everything made in Québec a cpy of it will be saved in the governments archives. Not sure if all of this applies to movies, but every book, poster or illustration made by Québec artists or on Québec are saved at the Bibliothèque Nationale as National Heritage to preserve everything made by artists from here.
Also, all of this is available at the library for free if you ask for it, I wonder if the same applies to movies, especially movies that have the National Film Board in the looPr |

If i stick a photoshoped picture of me raping the ass of my smiling math teacher all around town and that i say out loud '' i did it '', i could have legal problems. It's not like he's thworing a private party at his place to show the movie to his beer buddys. If you have a restaurant, you have sanitary procedures to follow. There are laws regardging the trade of sugar. Guess what, there are laws regarding movie making too, it's that simple. |

| Coolness: 2604025 | Actually it's a private event for the members of the site only. He is paying the NFB to have a showing and access to the theater. They get nothing from it. He can let people in or not let people in. That is his choice. It's not public.
A public showing would be a finished movie. It's only public if they give you the theater for free. Then you have to give them a copy of your movie for their archives. Anyways I don't know the situation, all I know is I'm pissed cause I was planning on seeing it today and my Dad, Aunt and other people in my family were going to come also. |
