When people were interviewed they knew exactly what it was for. Antonino didn't hide the fact that he wanted to make this movie to anyone. I personally didn't want to be interviewed. I'm not really good in front of a camera. But some of the people who were interviewed did have some interesting things to say and some of those people wanted to see what other people were saying. Most of the people who were showing up for the movie knew they were in the movie and wanted to see it. I know all of my friends who have a part in it wanted to see it. but that is precisely what I'm getting at man, why would anyone else other than you and your friends want to watch it, since it's about your friends? Why say it's about the nightlife, why not just say "these are our views" and have the movie poster be those people. Inside jokes are only funny for those inside, not for the whole world and they only apply to those who are inside... Anyways, this entire thing just smacks of bizarro creepiness... mY Final notes: -zero visible cohesion of direction or clear forethought for this project -misrepresentation of said "Montreal nightlife" -Falsified integrity by association with a government sanctioned and funded arts council -Misappropriated and unaccounted for arts funds -unclear direction or voice -disregard for legal process or peoples rights, including artists rights for their material -suitable price tag -suitable release date(TBD) Take it or leave, I'm not debating this anymore, you've made your opinion clear, it's ok for us to disagree, thankfully we don't all have to like the same things, especially on teh interwebZ...  Coolness: 2604095 | I don't know everyone in the movie that is for sure because I don't know everyone in the trailers. Not all the people in the movie are on this site. It's not a [ rave.ca ] movie. Antonino probably knows everyone in the movie. And yes the movie from what I understand is a type of documentary on the Montreal nightlife scenes. Definitely not misrepresented... He goes around to different events and interviews people on what they think of parties and such. That is what I call a Montreal Nightlife documentary...
What do you think of the music? What do you think of the people? What do you think of the locations? What do you think of the drugs? What do you think of the djs? What do you think about the decoration? What do you think about montreal in general? Do you think montreal is an awesome city to party in? Maybe Antonino should add a part about what people think of the Playground Productions people... |

Some of the trailers seem to be like that but like always you're always basing everything you think off the trailers. Antonino asked me to sponsor the movie and I said no. I have no problems saying that. Other people said no also. Antonino continued his project by himself with nothing in return from people. I support people who take initiative. Unlike some of you welfare cases... |

Whatever the case I definitely can express my feelings on this message board, which I am doing. I don't care if anyone agrees with my feelings or how I think. In most cases people don't agree with the ways I think anyways. Never stopped me from sharing my opinions with people.
I take the you're all stupid part back... You're all un-informed... Mostly due to the whole injunction. Otherwise you would be informed and would have probably seen the movie by now and would be able to really make your own opinions of it. |

I think that record should be in the person's private settings - much as the "who's stalking me" function is. just my 0.02. but to reiterate.. if people have privacy concerns, they should be respected 100% |

Naming the movie after a girl who doesn't want to be involved in the project isnt understanding. Neither is putting up trailors of people high as fuck without asking them if that was ok. If the trailors were respectful and there wasn't such an issue about the Pola name, then I think people wouldn't be so aggitated. IMO people have a reason to be concerned because destructiva has given them reason to be so. Some people are in industries and situations where the portrayal of using hard drugs can negitively affect their lives, whether its with their job, friends or family. Considering that the 3 usually compose most of a person's lives, I think people have every right to be concerned. |

| Coolness: 86615 | well fair enuff, but if people don't want to be in a movie - whether it's because of association or because they think they themselves might be cast in a bad light, then it should be respected. even if they initially agreed, if they get cold feet later on, their decision should be repsected.
and mentioning to someone that you are filming a movie when they are off their tits on E and K doesn't seem like legitmate consent... not to mention if these people are underage, which is a whole different kettle of fish. | Coolness: 2604095 | Well everyone is making presumptions that they are in the movie because they were in the youtube short movies. I'm pretty sure if you asked Antonino not to be in the movie, you won't be in the movie. A lot of people are recorded on video stating that they wanted to be in the movie. From what I have seen, Antonino would ask people if they wanted to be in his movie, then he would proceed with his questions which people answered. There are plenty of people who do want to be in the movie and support it.
And why do you people think everyone is always high on E and Speed. Just because some of you are whenever you go out does not mean everyone is... I can't tell if someone is high on E or Speed or whatever else. If I asked someone if they wanted to be in a movie and they said yes I would be like alright and start with my interview. People are not supposed to be balling period, it's not anyones job to figure out if people are or not or to ask. |

There is nothing wrong with naming the movie POLA. Even I thought that it wasn't the best name for the movie but it's Antonino's movie and he can name it whatever he wants. |
