bon fac alors du gabber si jvous comprends bien c'est du hardstyle, mais moins melodique et plus de *noise*. Pis le hardstyle moi j'aime bien les mélodies plutôt dramatique ,mais bon ca me fait pas tant tripper non plus.

'm just not a fan of the the big epic/anthemic synths. But i don't see why people say it's not danceable. 160 bpm, steady beat, melodies, big kicks. what else do you need to dance? It's hardcore's little snot-nosed brother. Y'know, irritating yet fun :P Plus, the bpm is in between too fast and too slow; it's just right for the hardcore kids. But, hey, to each his own.
On top of all that, the dancefloor tends to be fullest when there's gabber-ish music playing. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to actually go to a rave, and not sit around a bar making assumptions. (et merci mutante, t'as dit exactement ce que je pensait, mais je ne pouvait pas poster de quoi qui aurait peut-etre provoker un certain individu :P ) and gabber goes like this: waw-w-wa wawa-w-w-w-aa Side note: correct me if 'm wrong, but the difference between gabber and harstyle isn't big. hardstyle is softer with longer more epic melody lines, a little less of the 'military riddim', and wee bit cheesier. it's the closest thing we'll ever have to pop-core :P

What styles of music would you happen to find in them ? i don't think "Breaks" would fit into any big festival or party nor does break's even have a 'scene' so shut your dumb-nut mouth when making suck narcissistic comments. I mean, even Ambient music is featured before breaks at some of the largest festivals in the world. Thousands dance to gabber, hardstyle, hardcore at some huge parties in europe. Techno has it's place in all the large parties, same with trance, hardtrance, psytrance, ambient, house music even... All those styles have followings.. funny, break's doesn't.. ohh yeah, cool that you can fill-up 50-100 people bars with break nights.... your so damn bliss-gnorant. First off no one hates my guts on hgere Second of all I didn't even mention "breaks" in what I said, you did Thirdly yes there's a huge breaks scene worldwide, yes it gets played at big festivals (including local ones like Picnik,Montreal Jazz Festival, etc...) and yes its way more danceable Fourthly breaks is just one style of music among many that I play. Btw I've actually been playing electro for longer than I've been playing breaks lol. Like I said in my original post don't get mad if you're a fan of gabber, I'm just telling it like it is.

funny that no one who replied top the comment is actually a big gabber fan. that's not the point. point is that making assumptions and labeling an entire sub-genre is wrong. especially when the info is wrong.
basically, you can't say "it like it is" 'cause you haven't the slightest clue what "it is". neo-nazis also listen to hip-hop. Guess that means that most rappers are nazis.

But then you have guys like Bambaataa (Godfather of hip hop) who were all about racial unity and coming together. So I guess you got pick and choose what you listen too and support You make a good point though, I don't know enough about gabber to judge it properly . Just too fast for me personally

lenny dee is not gabber. it's hardcore, and various techno, like breaks and tech.
big gabber artists: Endymion, Dione, Catscan, Promo, and (unfortunately) Neophyte. The two biggest labels are Masters Of Hardcore and H20. It's steady at 160 bpm, but varies from 150 to 165 bpm. now you know, and knowing is half the battle.
ps. mad respect to lenny dee. he's a great guy too! And Jules (his wife) works her ass off for Industrial Strength Rec. as well.
