Want to disprove god, ask yourself this: If god(s) created the universe, than who created god(s)? If you claim that god has either always existed, or created himself(s), then why can't you claim the same is true of the universe? Saying god did these things only serves to add more questions and make things less likely and more complicated. The existence of a god that controls everything and has complete oversight in the universe is an even bigger question than how life and the universe began. |

In scientific usage, a theory does not mean an unsubstantiated guess or hunch, as it can in everyday speech. A theory is a logically self-consistent model or framework for describing the behavior of a related set of natural or social phenomena. It originates from or is supported by rigorous observations in the natural world, or by experimental evidence (see scientific method). In this sense, a theory is a systematic and formalized expression of all previous observations, and is predictive, logical, and testable. The term theory is regularly stretched to refer to speculation which is currently unverifiable. Examples are string theory and various theories of everything. In the strict sense, the term theory should only be used when describing a model that is derived from experimental evidence and is provable (or disprovable). It is considered sufficient for the model to be in principle testable at some undetermined point in the future. By the definition of a theory, in scientific terms, to be considered a viable, scientific theory, creationism would HAVE to be provable or disprovable, either now or at some point in the future. Now, the beliefe of god is an act of faith; in otherwords, it is believing in something when there is absolutely no proof of it's existance in any way, shape or form (bar the ramblings on someone on lots of mushrooms and/or lsd) Were creationism to be proven, that would mean that, beyond a shadow of a doubt, god would exist. And if god can be proven to exist, he would no longer require faith. As faith is a necesity for the survival of the concept of a god and of religion, god therefore cannot exist in any way that can be proven, and all of his "works" and any and all "theories" involving god have no basis in reality whatsoever, and science deals in nothing but facts and observations. |
