 Coolness: 685665 | Planet Terror - Totally the best entry out of Grindhouse, and IMO the best zombie movie since Return of the Living Dead. The action is so totally over the top, the gore is ridiculously massive, and the cast all fits into their roles so perfectly.
Flesh for the Beast - Was pretty decent for a b-movie.. nothing too special of a story, just really more of an excuse to show gore and tits, which I'm all for! Can't quite pinpoint what it is, but there's something about the look of the movie (the colors specificaly) that I just really found cool. Blood Beach - Monster living under the sand of a beach kills and eats people.. Totally ridiculous, but strangely amazing of a movie none the less. |

Comment: I've always wanted to watch it but always found myself doing something else instead. An interesting view of Hitler's last few days and the effect his downfall has on his entourage. Do I recommend? Yes. Especially if you're into war movies but are tired of the "good ole' Americans during WWII" kind of bullshit. |

Comment: I've seen this movie at least twenty times so far and it's always as good. Some people might confuse this title with both of its predecessors (the Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th series) in thinking that this is a horror movie. Though it looks and sounds like a horror movie, FvsJ is far from it. What it is is pure fanservice. The deaths are highly previsible and the scares very rare. The actors have next to no talent (Monica Keena's only talent is being able to support that humongous bust of hers through the entire movie) and well, you'll only be scared if you're a very stressed, jumpy person. Like the Bride and Seed of Chucky, FvsJ is made to please the fans who have been waiting for such a movie since Jason Goes to Hell. The mere fact that this movie exists cancels and messes with a lot of either storyline; it's meant to be enjoyed for what it is: nostalgia. It's cheesy as all hell, the kills are awesome to watch and though it feels like it's parodying its own genre once too many times, that's precisely the point of this movie. A "feel good horror movie". Do I recommend: If you're the type to read Fangoria / Rue Morgue and you have a small Lloyd Kaufman altar at home, yes, very much. |

 Coolness: 158810 | cool i just came to discover this thread! so...hmmmmm i watched aprox. 1 or 2 movie each day of my life but here is 2 needing mention here:
- will not go see the fourth installment in theater because other cinema priorities at the moment but watched "first blood" aka "rambo:first blood". amazing as always. weird acting. interesting and very well put on cinematography. many shot are amazing! very good story. made in 1982 and very represent the politic ambiance of the period in usa. rambo is a wild psychotic vietnam veteran who rebel against the system/police force ect.. i think it is an awesome movie. if you feel for it. 9/10 - the last cronenberg "estern promises" is very good. this director seems to have taken a diff. direction since "a history of violence". and like always he's very excellent at it. all the actors did a great job, special mention to vincent cassel. if you like mafia movies.. and tattoo hehe!9/10 |
