 Coolness: 158310 | What I absolutely love about First Blood is the fact that John is reacting to corruption and simply trying to escape. If you think about it, he kills ONE person and in self-defense!
Compare that to the (money-making) sequels and it's so different 0_O; It's always awesome to make someone watch it when they've only seen Rambo 3. :D They're completely mindfucked. |

rambo is a psychotik created by the army/system! and with his friend who died from exposition to agent orange.. he's like going nuts because he's fucked up from vietnam! yeah rambo is just so excellent. i put it in the same section than natural born killers and falling down.. very entertaining american movies! i watched "balls of furry" because of christopher walken but hated it. so not funny. i think i smiled like 2 times. very bad in general. 5/10 |

C'est trop beau et ça me fais chier! Je pleure 2-3 larmes à toutes les fois au début du film, wtf? Parfaite histoire d'amour au monde et sexy. J'adore quand y s'pogne dans cabine téléphonique sur le bord de l'autoraute dans le désert!! c'est dans ma liste de choses à faire ;) |

It doesn't hurt that Clarence is such a rockabilly (Elvis) fan. The scene between Walken and Hopper = classic. As for Rambo, I think the same way, Betty. But after reading the book and most of Thompson's stuff, it becomes a bit of a painful thing; this is the story that trapped HST into being the gonzo beast that he was. No escape, no return; only gradual decadence.
Dr.Jwa, I'm sure you'll be thrilled to see the Rum Diary, slated for 2009. Depp reprises the Thompson role by playing the protagonist, Paul Kemp. |
