le jeux de la mort
cest plein d'optimisme, c'est joyeux pis ca rend philanthrope.
lazy copy paste.
[ en.wikipedia.org ]
Le Jeu de la Mort (The Game of Death) is a French television documentary that was broadcast by the French public television channel France 2. The documentary centers around a conduction of the Milgram experiment in a game show-like setting, encouraging subjects to administer increasingly stronger electric shocks to trained actors posing as contestants as punishment for incorrect answers, encouraged to do so by the host and audience.

The documentary was presented as a social commentary on the effects of humiliation in reality television and obeying orders, and its broadcast was followed by a studio discussion on the programme.

c'est facile de penser que c'est seulement les autres qui obéissent aveuglément aux ordres mais faut quand meme avoir un "certain profile" pour etre entousiaste de passer a "tivi" aussi....

Resident Evil: Afterlife (3D)

What a piece of shit. Even the promise of 3D couldn't save this movie. It's supposed to be the first part of a new trilogy and "starting fresh" from the previous chapters. Bullshit: it's a direct sequel.

Even if you put Wesker, the Redfield family and Jill Valentine, it's still so far from the actual game franchise and it's been taken so far that it fails. Zombies are meaningless in this one and the only threat is from Wesker, who decided to cosplay as Neo from the Matrix.

A shitty, terrible waste of celluloid or data space.

RED RIDING HOOD

Amazing movie! Still watching it :)

DOWNLOAD IT!!! [ h33t.com ]

REVIEWS:

A weird little thriller, with some unique twists, RED RIDING HOOD is actually a derivative of psycho thrillers dating back to BAD SEED, PSYCHO and others, and despite its innate cheesiness, it's a diverting thriller for fans of the genre.

This movie will be no landmark in 21st century film history. However, in terms of gore and violence,
"Red Riding Hood" is a champion. This film is successful in its attempt to shock and disturb the viewer.
I'm feeling nuclear right now..

I know a lot of you are fans of Tim Burton so I'll make sure to be gentle with my words but if you look at his list of movies, he hasn't done anything good since Nightmare Before Christmas.

The only movies I can think of that are worth watching are that, Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands. I think Burton suffers from the same problem that afflicted Night Shyamalan's career: being praised for having a particular style and then get stuck having to repeat it time and time again. Eventually, the fans get tired of the "style" and realize that there's no substance behind it.

Now, I liked Sweeney Todd but that's not HIS story: he only provided the look, basically.

I was also disappointed by a movie, this weekend.

The Nightmare on Elm Street remake. So far, it's the worst horror movie remake I've seen. And I'm a huge ass (read: totally obsessed) fan of the franchise. Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Friday the 13th remakes weren't excellent but still had redeeming values.

Not this one.

Freddy looks like a burned rat / cheese pizza. The cast looks like a bunch of American Apparel rejects. They use some of the classic death scenes but cheapen them. Most of the scares are cheap cameras zooms and pans. You spend half the movie convinced Freddy was the victim of a fake rape accusation. He has no personality. No humour whatsoever (which is what made Freddy... well, Freddy).

And the protagonist. Oh Jesus, what a messed up screenplay. You spend the first ten minutes following one person you think is the protagonist. He dies, then his girl friend (new protagonist) dies, then you think the emo Chemical Romance guy is the main character (because they focus on him, right) only to realize that Nancy is the actual main character, after 40 minutes in the movie. She's shy, quiet and stupid. You don't feel attached to her at all. She realizes that Freddy raped her a couple minutes before the end of the movie and her "breakdown" is as emotional as the line of people waiting for the subway I take on rainy mornings.

Fuck this movie and fuck Samuel Bayer for having directed such a piece of shit movie.
I'm feeling tired right now..

Iron Man 2:
Good, not as good as the first but enjoyable. Seeing War Machine was awesome. Scarlet Johansson as Black Widow wasn't. Wish they'd done a better casting for that role.

Survival of the Dead:
Bland, kinda boring BUT better than Diary of the Dead by far. This should have been an episode of a TV series about the living dead, not a feature film.
I'm feeling tired right now..

Starts on October 31st, The Walking Dead, based on an ongoing comic (currently at 77 issues) and it tells the story of a cop that gets shot on duty and wakes up in the hospital (28 Days Later style) and sets out to find his wife and son, gets with a group of people, and just, well, try to survive!
