You bet it's large, the capacity is insane. The old Gravity space is being completely redesigned with a stage and it also has a liquor license now. The insane soundsystem will remain but the look is completely different. This event will actually be the launch party for the new venue as well. It's going to be a proper concert hall now.

FREESTYLERS - Matt Cantor [London, UK]

Breakbeat leaders from day one, Freestylers have dominated the underground music scene. Since their debut album 'We Rock Hard' shocked the planet back in '98, to their hit-laced 'Pressure Point' LP rocked dancefloors the world over in 2001, to their chart topping breakthrough 'Raw As F**k' devastated all who dared in 2004. For the first time ever, Matt Cantor is on this night only, a Montrealer.



TONY EZZY [LIVE]

Tony Ezzy was roller-skating on the rings of Saturn when he thought it would be a dope idea to kick some funky shiznit. He came down to earth and was labotamized by Dr. Zoom. What you will hear is the results of that opperation. Montreal's rising star Tony Ezzy, has got something very special planned for you. The only word we can use describe this man's groove is Bad. Ok, so I've had a few days to recuperate and arrange my thoughts on the whole thing, so here goes:

THANK YOU!!!!

Seriously, this party has been alot of hard work for all of us, but it wouldn't have been possible without the 600+ people who showed up ready to JAM.
I think Andrew has already explained the venue issue, so I won't go into any more detail on that. I'm sorry to all my friends about not having any time to talk or hang out, there was simply no time for me to relax. The new venue required a sound system, a bar, and coat check, all things which were originally being taken care of by our original venue. So we had about 8 hours to put all those things together. That bring me to my explanation for the sound system:

I apologize for the loudness and the echo, unfortunately, there was no time to even test the system, nor was there time for me to check it more than once every hour or so, I was running non-stop all night. I can assure you, had things been different, your ears wouldn't be ringing so much. Given the situation, I hope you understand. Believe me it's in my best interest to give you killer sound at all our events and I can promise you the next one will be impeccable.

I'd also like to thank a few special people, who helped far above and beyond the call of duty:
David & Caroline @ The Darling Foundry. You 2 really saved us, and you went out of your way to help us with this event, I owe you!!!!
Steve Lalla & Jamie Omeara @ Hour. Dude, I know I harassed the shit out of you, but it was so worth it. Fanatastic cover story, all I gotta say.
Zach & Morgan. The secret AfterDARK crew. Most people on this site have no idea who these 2 are, but they're easily 50% of the reason this party still ruled against all odds.
Kloda Productions Crew. How do you book and deliver a 25,000 watt sound system, and lighting in a matter of 2 hours? This is how.

Honorable mentions going out to all the staff, bartenders, coat check, dj's, and crazy drinkers. Except for that guy that kept passing out and pissing himself. Dude, you can't drink, deal with it.

There are literally 20 stories I could tell you that are related to this party, so I'm not going to go into it right now. You can either A: ask me to tell you a story next to you see me, or B: buy the book.

Friday February 10th, Junglist Fridays is pleased to announce we will playing host what is quite possibly the most talented production and DJing duo to come out of North America to date.

Basic Operations (Focus and Sirus) credits combined now include over 20 signed and licensed pieces, including major label distributed cds to multiple vinyl releases and TV and media ads. Tracks have appeared on CD Compilations such as Dieselboy's “The Dungeon Masters Guide”, LTJ Bukem's “Logical Progression 10” and Renegade Recordings "Renegades of Funk Vol#3".

Teaming up with some of the largest promoters and Djs in the Southeast, Basic Ops has made great strides in bringing many firsts in Drum and Bass to the North Carolina scene. They are classified in the Carolina drum and bass community as mainstay veterans of the music.

The duo of Nathan Hayes (Sirus) and Kevin Jekel (Focus) have no set boundaries and will not be pigeon holed in any certain style of drum and bass, they try to innovate within the genre as a whole.
