Here's a funny one:

Me: Alright, can you open up the control pannel
Friend: *Rustling for 20-30 seconds*
Friend: Alright I got the tower open, but I don't see anything that looks like a control pannel.
Me: Silence
Friend: Does it have a fan connected to it?

actually I find it pretty interesting, the scene has been slowly moving towards dj worshiping in the rock star sense and by having dj's degrade themselves it would in turn be a statement as well :)

The party was ridiculously great, the weather was perfect, I find that the 10 minutes of rain on saturday even helped cool us off.

The beach was chill, but slightly packed on saturday, still refreshing.

I'm not sure why they closed the well on saturday, but they still offered free water next to the hype tent, where they did the free yoga thingy. Next time though I'm not camping so far from the stage, the walk to the bathrooms at 2 am were brutal, and the walks to get water were even worse.

Also what I didn't like were the shuttle buses, they weren't that expensive, but on friday there was a LONG line up, me and my friends ended up bringing all our stock by hand... which was brutal.

The music was fucking great though, I really enjoyed wrecked machines live set. The decorations were great too, and mystica's performance was great. I also liked raw sugga at the chill zone. I liked the sound alot actually, I just found that sunday morning the mids were abit unclear. And is it just me or was there alot of c.d. skippage going on on friday?

Yeah but buying a groovebox when you have a sequencing program + virtual synths is kinda pointless.

Coolness: 73140
The problem with groove-boxes is that they don't play too well with others, combined with mediocre at best sound quality you'll be playing the same stuff over and over agian. If you want a drum machine or something for live sets you'd be much better of with a korg er-1 or soemthing like somebody said. I think the Electribe was going for 399$ at moog audio, not sure if they have any left.

It's basically a shitty sequencer with some samples... The Mc-909 would be good for a beginner making music who doesn't have a clue how to make any electronic music... you've obviously surpassed that level.

It's starting man... Indie bands, the rave scene... Back a little while ago... if you were making music your dream was getting signed by a major label... because producing everything yourself was ridiculous back then. No joke people used to think that these big time producers at large record labels had like secret technology like vacuum tubes from crashed submarines and shit to be able to produce what they produce. Now it's becoming common knowledge and affordable. That coupled with file sharing is the death of the music industry as we know it.

It's happening... and were gonna be there too watch them fall.

One of the biggest modern punkbands of our times, nofx, even said that dinosaurs will surely die, and we will be there to watch them fall. They were making reference to recording companies.

If Italy plays the way they played against germany they should win it. France's offense was abit week against portugal, Zidane seariously needs another strong player up with him, I really feel that Italy has a much more rounded and overall better team. France is seariously gonna have to pull something out of there asses... or hope that Italy chokes.

I feel bad for Portugal though... they dominated near the end of the game. One thing though... is it just me or was portugal playing complete hollywood... it seems whenever they got in the box all they did was fall then look at the ref saying, "Cmon" or some bullshit.

It really is all about what you like and what you expect from your music. Like what about gabba? To me that shit shouldn't even be considered music... I can't listen to it for more then 2 minutes without having to end my life with a screwdriver firmly implanted into my ear. Some people can snort coke though... and love that shit.

It's all personal opinion. Bad things can be said about all electronic music... hear let's take a jab at it:

Jungle: Abunch of shady ass motherfuckers all pretending to be all dark and cool listening to music which seariously hasn't changed since it became called drum and bass. Hey look I can take a 2 step bass line and sample the amen break too! WEEEEEE

Trance: Abunch of teenagers high off there ass on ecstacy listening to songs with the same structure and breakdowns over and over again! HEY let's rip off some classical sample and apply the 4 to the floor beat under it. Then we'll hardly progress it and use the same anthem again later after the breakdown.

Techno: I know how to use rythm machine and groove-boxes! I'm ever so clever! Bump booch click other sound bump! Over and over and over and over and over again.... My teachers all said I had a REALLY long attention span... I don't understand why.

Hardcore: I'M HIGH ON CRACK! and probably underage... Who wants to fuck the bassbins with me?

House: I haven't done anything new and innovating since 1970... I also feel compelled for some reason to start all my songs with a 2 minute intro wich starts with just the bass drum and slowly works all the other parts of my song into it... My new big sound is benny benassi... who ripped off thomas bangalter... who just basically made funky disco.

Breaks: I try to hide from being made fun of because my musical genre is so vast... but the truth is I really like trance... but all my friends would make fun of me if they knew I listened to that.

Seariously, I've been working on this bitch for a while now, it comes together real strong in the end.

If you want a spoiler, I played a guitar solo near the end which makes the song ridiculously dramatic.

Cmon give it a listen I know you want to ;)
