actually mozilla render's almost everything the same as all my other browsers..
there's a few bugs that need to be taken out, but it's far better then IE. |

How is it's interface anoying?! If one were so inclined they could sirf the internet entierly without clicking on buttons to do ANYTHING, from going back, to opening a new window, refreshing, moving between windows, etc.
Built-in download manager, too, that beats the pants off gozilla. |

void: can you tell me whats so bad about putting hidden tags between TR tags? I'm not saying i had intended to do that (it was a mistake) but it's not a mistake that has any negative reprocusions..
if you think my code is sloppy and that makes load times longer.. then go to my site and hit reload 6 or 7 times and tell me it's not fast enough. if it works and it works the way it's supposed to, then there's no problems. |

download managers are a waste of time.
it's not like yer gonna be downloading 50 files at a time anyway.. one window per download is fine with me. |

I don't feel like telling you, because it would take too long.
Just uhm, remember in that AI debate, I said you don't practice scalability and portability? Your HTML proves it. Look, I gave you a bunch of links, go educate yourself. Don't pull that shit "ohh i want to see it with my own eyes", go read the studies, the standards, ect. Then go validate your site at [ validator.w3.org ] |

right, and how long have they been 'standards'?
i've been designing websites a long time and have seen a lot of so called standards become nothing, which is why i take my time adpoting new 'standards' and stick to html since it's been there the whole time. |

as for you knowing by my code, you can't pass judgement like that since my code is VERY portable.
like i said before ALL my html is in one central file. those font tags are called from a function fontSize($inputString,$size); if i wanted to i could very easily change to those new tags you were talking about.. but i see absolutely no reason to do so. Font tags work just fine. another example of my code's portability.. make an account, then go to "edit user info" and choose a different theme for the site. granted they're both the same theme (just with one having the nav bar on the left side of the screen), gWindow.php and gWindowLeft.php are two completely different theme files for my site. i could make any sort of theme/look for my site and it would be completely universal on the entire site. |

these "so called standards" are in place and in use and make everyone's lives easier
like I said read up on it |

also
your method of "templating" is so off. If a site was completely based on CSS for layout, and only HTML for structure, you could design a templatable site in Javascript. |

uhh right, and that would make it SOoooo much faster eh?
having a completely different set of code be generated by javascripts. yeah, that'll speed things up. |
Good [+1]Toggle ReplyLink» neoform replied on Wed Sep 3, 2003 @ 11:33pm |
and i never claimed my site was CSS based.
it's HTML based. there's no way CSS would be able to do the kind of theming i've got setup, since my themes use completely different sets of HTML.. CSS is cool for styling existing code, not generating new code. |

you're not paying attention
here, go look through the sites I gave you, then come back and we'll debate web standards. |

you're not paying attention either.
i just perfectly described how my site is very portable contrary to what you were saying about it.. then you go and shift the argument to me not following standards again. my site is VERY portable. |

Psikon isn't up right now. And its redone, it wont even be in HTML anymore. It'll be done in XML. |
